How's the Weather Where You Are?

It's 44°F and sunny. Gorgeous day with low humidity for a change. This has been a very mild winter so far, but early February is usually our coldest time so we'll see.

Suddenly we have 16" of snow forecast for Saturday with single-digit temps, hitting below zero Monday night! This is from Weather.com. WeatherUnderground (I believe bought out by The Weather Channel) is also forecasting the snow but not those Arctic temps, while the government's site (NOAA) says "Although there is uncertainty surrounding specific details, a significant winter storm is possible this weekend." NOAA has yet to predict any snowfall.

Looking at our forecast, we have snow possibilities starting on Wednesday and going through next weekend, with definite snow on Sunday, and temps into the teens at night. Of course this can get better or worse as we get further into the week. But tomorrow is the shopping day, and after that, we can pretty much plan on being home until any storms blow over or go away.

The weather isn't so bad here, I don't know what all the traffic accidents are about. It's cold, with some snow blowing, but the roads appear fairly dry,

A crazy winter weekend. We had rain on Thursday night, which removed about a foot of snow, which was replaced partly on Saturday and Sunday. Sons still here and cut snowmachine paths around the property so the kids could motor around in the snow. They also had a big bonfire down by the lakeside. They used almost a face cord of wood for it though, so I will have to do some wood cutting. I have plenty of wood for current needs, but I like to stay ahead. Weather is now good for winter--about 10 F. at night and 15-20 F. during the day. Even though the nights are long, the fresh snow keeps everything bright.

2 AM, just came in from clearing a light snowfall. 5 f, light breeze. Too overcast to see the Aurora from the current magnetic storm.

Still have another trip out there soon. Have to put the trash out, no delay for MLK Day.

It is 20 here, 17 with the wind chill. The snow for tomorrow is now showing as rain until this weekend, and we still have the snow or ice happening then, and even colder temps next week, almost down to single digits, which is cold for here. I don’t know if our trash pickup is delayed this week or not. We were talking about that last night, so usually Bobby just puts it out if we are not sure, in case they do come on time, and ours is not until Thursday.
