What Are You Doing Today?

SO is out of the house! Sheets are washed as is a load of ironables. How do two people create so much laundry? There is a curse on me.
Everything for a batch of jalapenos en escabeche is sitting on the kitchen counter. I eat it like there is no tomorrow. Spicy, hot pickles.
Steam my jacket and jeans. SO did a good job on my belt. My friend got stuck for 45 minutes in traffic and still came to deal with the infamous shirt. It fits! Just the base shirt is around $200. Does that mean my play money just increased by what I did not spend? Good try, yeah!

Surfing the news, laughing my kester off at all the dumbasses in the world. Thank God, and greyhound, I am not famous, realized early on in life wrinkles are just a story of your life's up and downs. That I accept the fact I am 78 and a walking, talking miracle every day I breathe. I could ramble on, but I will not. Just extremely grateful for who I am and who I have become, without any fanfare.. Made goulash for whenever, froze the never ending gumbo, and piddling around with things in general.😁

Up since 5 am but just now moving around, and am checking out my morning news, markets and etc.
Laundry a must today. Just usual stuff on Saturday, Get ready for this next week.Wed, is pre op on the left eye before surgery on the 19th. Thursday hubby has all bottom teeth pulled. Hoping dentist can help him by a-lining the top ones.
Not sure about the rest of today yet.

Power has been on and off several times today, and it is raining hard and strong wind, but no thunderstorms. Bobby made coffee as fast as he could just in case the power went out again, and I have the laundry washing to hav it done. But it looks like everything should be mostly past us by noon or so.
Definitely and inside day, and even the cats are all staying inside most of the time. I think it might be a knitting day today…..

I'm just puttering around today. It's a beautiful day outside so I couldn't resist pulling a few weeds and cleaning out the birdbath.

I've got a large grocery order this afternoon and I ordered a rotisserie chicken and a bagged salad, so at least dinner will be easy. I'll roast a few new potatoes and ta-da.

I took a friend to an eye appointment yesterday. It was follow-up to her second cataract surgery. She bought me a couple dozen fresh eggs and a Chinese buffet lunch. It makes for a long day. 1/2 hour to her place, an hour drive to the doctor, nearly an hour at the doctor, and then back again after lunch. Country living.

Today I continue to procrastinate on cleaning my wood stove flu and getting firewood loaded. I usually have this done in the Spring. Dunno what the heck my problem is. I've never been this unmotivated.

I think it is called getting older. There is a lot of that unmotivation thing going around here at our house too. I think we have begun to have "I don't care" syndrome. We sit around waaaay to much anymore.

Yeh, part of it is certainly inertia...I have been An Object At Rest for too long. It's makes me angry because my physical health is good, and I'm wasting it.

I burn wood wood as my primary heat source because this old house has no insulation. I have enough to get me started, but I really need to get the racks loaded. And I gotta clean the flu. The thing burns clean, but it's been 2-3 years since I've run a brush through it. It's a pain in the butt because the design of soapstone stoves requires you to pull the flu at the stove and put a bag on the end because the stuff you brush out does not go into the firebox...it will block the airflow.

I texted one of my firewood guys to schedule a delivery, knowing that having to get ready for it would get me off of my butt (procrastination is cured when one has one's back to the wall.) He texted back that he had a stroke and was no longer in business.

House is clean, coffee maker set.sofalion refuses to eat wet food. Her man is not serving as he is on a play date.
Nails done. Silver polished. I had a connection of 70s very long turquoise dangles repaired. Guess what. Apparently it was a$75 polish job. If SO cannot fix it plan B. But I love my comfort earring which come to the shoulder and have teething marks of a few kittens. Bathroom looks like we have teenagers:)

The senior retirement village up,the road is having its yearly open day /residents garage sale today ,so seeming it’s forecast for a nice day we may wander up and have a sneak peek at what’s happening ,I’ve bought a plant or 2 before that are nicely flowering at the moment
