I am interested in your experience with the knife cataract surgery. My ophthalmologist told me the same thing about laser, but my brother and his wife both had laser and did very well. One of our friends had the knife procedure and did not do well. She had to have it re-done with a laser. I just don't know what to believe.

I read that a patient should go with whichever method their surgeon suggests, because that's usually the one they are best at. So if the surgeon recommends laser, he's probably more proficient with the laser. The doctor I saw yesterday was one of the pioneers of laser eye surgery in Houston.

That is my plan, but I'm going to talk to my regular ophthalmologist on Monday.
