Coming into the end of July, we start getting a lot of storms. Today, we are in for one thunderstorm after another.
Supposed to be 94 here today, no rain. We are going to try and keep cool in the backyard swimming pool today, for sure ! After today, the rest of our 10 day forecast (as of right now) is going to be highs in the 80’s and not the 90’s, so maybe a cooling trend, and I will be able to spend sometime working outside again ?

The Amazon heat/humidity is still here……..
We have another round of storms coming through this evening with some wind gusts, but it doesn't look like another event like we had Sunday night. And it may bring some much-needed rain.

Just after I typed this last night, the power went out. About two hours, roughly 7-10.

Someone posted that they notice a different "feel" in the weather recently like fall is approaching. I can't find the post now, but I've had that exact same feeling for the past couple of days. The light is different and taking on a more hazy feel somehow. Or... my eyes are worse than I thought.

3:15 PM —- Nashville weather just showed the “Feels like” in Lebanon, TN——- it is currently 112 
The Feels like where I live, 93 miles SW of Lebanon is currently 94. Lower because the humidity is only 56%, while the dewpoint remains at 76 degrees. Still bucking miserable.
@Beth Gallagher , not the weather so much, but my horses are starting to change color. That means they are slowly beginning to grow their winter fur. Par for this time of year where I live, but I hate it for them in this heat.

With the recent storms and torrential rains, it is a bit cooler today. I went to pull some weeds and one would not know from the dirt that we had so much rain. Merely damp after three months of dry. There was a bad tornado in Menasha. Trees down in Appleton too cut power for both cities.

Power went to generator for 4 1/2 hours last night. Not even a bump. It takes less time for my hair to get dry with the Oklahoma blow dryer then going the traditional route.

91 degrees and not too bad on the patio. Nice breeze out there. We have a 40% chance of rain but the sky is totally blue and sunny.
