70 degrees yesterday in N. Alabama and today ? it’s snowing!!!
Big flakes of white stuff coming out of a grey sky and no, I’m not going to make a flippin’ snow man !

The wind! All night long the wind howled and it's still gusting up to 45 MPH. With 45 degree temps the wind is so COLD. I dragged the trash out to the curb earlier and it's just blustery out there. At least the sun is shining but it's still going to stay cold for the next couple of days. Down to 38 tonight.

It is defnintley being a snowy day here in Alabama . We have lots of wind, too, and so it is a blowing kind of snow. This is the back yard right when it started, now we have lots more sticking to everything.

I lost power last night about 10PM, and it just came back on around 10AM. The worst line of winds was maybe 50 miles west of me. I have no idea if the issue was local or further upstream...it didn't get gusty here until around 1AM or so.

Time to go through the fridge and replace stuff (it was 53°F in there when the power came back on.) I'm on the fence regarding the blocks of soft cheese and the sandwich cheese, even though many are unopened or in vacuum seal bags. I guess better safe than sorry. And thank goodness for wood stoves.

Got an inch of rain overnight and was 27 degrees this morning with a light coating of snow which has since melted. Mid 30s today with some sun.

It stayed above 0 F. last night, so things are looking up. It is predicted to get close to 20 F. today as it did yesterday. There may be wind today, but we are somewhat sheltered. Palmer is predicted to get 65 MPH wind.

Good friend lost the roof of his house Thursday/Friday and his car finally left the roads of this planet Sunday. Proud as can be but on SO’s radar.

I was on holiday with family in Feb 1977, landed in NY for three days just after the worst snow storm in a hundred years, temps 30F

Flew down to Florida to Disney World then on to Miami where the temps where in the 70F

Just read that it is 94 in LV, a heat record there.

54 F in London with weak sunshine at the moment.
