When we drive to Georgia, my phone automatically changes when we cross the time zone border in Florida. It is a setting that can be turned on/off in the phone settings.

Do you know how a watch might change if it's not tethered to a phone? Enabling the e-SIM is an option. And I don't believe they do satellite.

I imagine the only way a watch changes independent of a phone is if it has it's own phone line, but I don't really know.
