I went to Subway last week for the first time in months. I sort of know the owner (he and I use the same barber.) He told me they improved the recipe for the white bread sub rolls. I forgot to pay attention when I ate it, and did not really notice any change.

After dealing with 30 pounds of meat I do not want to see any on my plate tonight. Scooby snacks or tortellini with mushrooms, onion, spinach, lots of Parmesan and rabbit food.

We stopped on our way home from the eye doctor and had a Cracker Barrel breakfast at lunchtime, so neither of us wants a big dinner. We'll probably just have some snacks like cheese and crackers or something.

Oversized Scooby snacks platter on the patio. Start with a glass of Merlot for the server please. Oven warm very thin salt water focaccia, pork/beef meatballs with a cube of cheese and a slice of pickled Jalapeno, strips of grilled pork loin wrapped in bacon, apple slices, cowboy candy, pepper sauces, cubes of lemon cream cheese pound cake with lemon frosting.

It is shaping up to be another beautiful Autumn day today, so we are going to have grilled steaks, baked potatoes, salad, and maybe a cold beer for liquid refreshment.
