What's for supper?

I made myself chocolate milk and took Tums I even had a faminadine trying to relieve the irritation in my throat. No one else was affected but me.

I have had a similar (but not bothersome) thing with the peppers. I use mild pepperoncini but hot ones are available at my grocer. Even the mild ones can have a bit of "back of the throat" heat that seems to increase if the roast is reheated as leftovers. Sorry you had an unpleasant reaction, Tony.

Ok, this was the first time I have cooked cube steak in the crockpot and I'm filing this one under "no." The steak came out so tender that it was almost mushy, so IMO the "cube" tenderized meat is not a good crockpot idea. Flavor was OK but the texture was not good.
Tonight we're having hamburgers I'm wondering if I should put them in the Crock-Pot!!! Just kidding. It's too cold and wet to grill them outside on the grill and I'm not wild about grilling them inside. I'll probably be doing the cooking my wife's not feeling well. So I'm thinking of putting them in the oven and baking them per the internet instruction 400 to 425° for 12 to 15 minutes or a temperature of 16th°.
OR I CAN ORDER OUT...

I would pan fry those burgers in a cast iron skillet. But ordering out does hold a certain appeal, I will admit. :D

When I grill them outside I sit on a chair where I can see the grill. I have problems standing for any length of time, so cooking them inside would be difficult if I'm doing them on a grill or frying pan where I have to stand, a kitchen chair would be to low. That's why I chose to try baking them, it's a first for me. They came out great, I made cheeseburgers, and one plain. The cheese melted just right. I didn’t make enough my grandkids wanted more. The instructions said to put the cheese on for the last 2 minutes. I made hot dogs last night the same way. I'm trying to give my wife and daughter a break, their both under the weather.

This morning when I got up I noticed a new contraption on our kitchen counter. my wife tells me it's a waffle maker and that my daughter went out and purchased one. Looks like one of those models that flip over, a two-sided unit. She also said we're going to have waffles for supper tonight. I'm looking forward to having a fresh waffle. Better than those Frozen toaster waffles.yuk!!!

Try corn bread batter. Mixes work fine just hold off a bit on the milk.

SO asked for pizza. Can do:) Dough is rising slowly and nicely. Sauce with garden tomatoes, basil, onion, some heat is thawed. Onions and red bell peppers will go on the grill for just a minute. Mozzarella and pepper jack.

This batch of pudding was better, but it has bourbon in it, and it's a little overpowering. I think I'm done with making butterscotch pudding. If I try my hand at pudding again, it will be lemon or lime.

My favorites are chocolate and tapioca. I used to have a really good recipe for a coffee-flavored gelatin based dessert but I don't know what I did with it. My husband loves banana pudding, but of course that has 'naners and vanilla wafers in it.

Making it was more of an impulse thing because Steve North mentioned it. I'm not a big pudding fan, but thought I'd try my hand at something new. At least this batch (with caramelized brown sugar) tastes more like butterscotch.

I totally left out egg custard in my favorite pudding list, and that is my #1. I love creme brulee and flan, also. (All variations on a theme.) There is a Chinese buffet in town that has the best egg custard; I like to go there just for dessert.

If a pudding recipe mentions "double boiler", I'm out. I'm all about easy these days.

Welcome to adulthood, where you spend the rest of your life trying to figure something new to do with a chicken breast......
Here it will be chicken chowder with breast, mushrooms, green peas, potatoes plated with crumbled bacon and brown onions,
Grating a potatoe works as thickener and allows to replace cream with half and half.
