What's for supper?

Spaghetti and meatballs.

I'm in a rut with meals again. It seems like I have made a bazillion different types of recipes over the years, and I am getting bored with it all; today anyway. The recipes seem to be all similar but prepared slightly different. I don’t know. I guess I’m in a little bit of a funk today and can’t get it together. I need some sunshine.

I hear ya, girl. Seems like my first thought in the morning is "what on earth will I make for dinner?" I suffer from Nothing Sounds Good To Me syndrome and my husband is no help. He's a "whatever you want is fine" guy.

I survey the fridge and freezer, sighing because with all that stuff in there I don't want any of it. I have said before that if I didn't have him to cook for, I'd probably have cheese and crackers every day.

Exactly everything you said. Same! {Big Sigh} :D

My husband would like to eat at your house. He loves jalapeno poppers.
Well, it was good but not like jalapeno poppers. It was like pizza with cream cheese and jalapeños slices on it. Also had bits that resembled thick bacon. I also had chocolate pie. I still have the hungries for a great jalapeno popper.

On my way home from picking up my glasses, I stopped by a new place called JLB Eatery that has specialty burgers and sandwiches (they make their own breads), chicken dishes, and fish & chips. The fish & chips comes in either "London Style" or "Cajun Style", so I ordered one dinner of each for us to try. They had hand-cut fries and onion rings included with the fish. The stuff was delicious and we'll definitely be going there again.

So once again I have weaseled out of cooking dinner. :D We ate early but we are both stuffed. Nap time!

I'm jealous. Good fish 'n chips are hard to find, and tough to make without a decent deep fryer. Arthur Treachers was the only one my British mother would eat. Arby's is pretty good, but they only offer it during Lent.

Tell me about this chocolate pie. :D
It is found on the top shelf in the freezer section at your local Safeway. Edwards is the brand and Chocolate Satin is the name. It is super rich but that isn't a bitch, at least not for me a hopeless chocaholic. It goes great with local made coffee/chocolate ice cream. Even hard core chocoholics find that combo lethal, but it doesn't faze me.

After yesterdays computer problems, I finally found my specialty tool and this morning my laptop is as friendly as a purring kitten. Amazing what AI computer programs can do. It looks just like me, except for the ears. It took a lot of finding the right words to enter in and finally I even got the glasses right. ;)

I love chocolate also!!! I like your avatars too.

I use a pie shell, bake it, and add some pudding to it and we have a lovely pie.. Any flavour you like..
I like the instant pudding as it comes out much fluffier.. I use 10% cream instead of milk...
I add some fruit like sliced bananas, fresh blueberries, sliced strawberries or whatever, before adding the filling..
I add more of the same fruit on top before serving.... optional..
If chocolate, I sprinkle some chocolate chips on top..
Serve with whipped cream............ of course........ sometimes ice cream....

I might add for @Beth Gallagher that the pie has a chocolate graham cracker crust. It was on sale for $6.99. I should have got two or more for the freezer, but I was shopping very early and hadn't had my second cup of chocolate laced, old joe, and in my own defense, wasn't thinking clearly. :cautious:

Thanks for the recipe, but that is just too labor intensive for me. I will go as far as peeling and slicing a banana and cover it with chocolate ice cream, but that is as far as I go with meal preparation. I have my banana ice cream combo at 8 AM, daily. I once used yogurt, but life is too short for such health fanaticism. Besides I have my yogurt at 4 AM after my workout. :sneaky:

I'm going to make macaroni and beef in the Instant Pot. Also making a focaccia bread and salad.
Sounds great! I am going out for lunch, with dentures donned, and will fill up with their great Mexican salad and one chicken enchilada, so leftover enchiladas and beans for supper, dinner, or my post lunch meal, what ever name works for the readers labeling of such. I still call it supper, because my folks and grand folks were Texans, and my Colorado birthright to call it dinner, might be seen as disrespectful. :ROFLMAO:

I grew up in the deep south, where it was dinner at noon and supper in the evening. I kind of use the terms interchangeably because we only eat one meal a day, usually around 3-4 p.m.

Your lunch/dinner/supper sound good; I love me some mexican food.
