I have my Swiss army knife for that.I have a clean pair of pliers that I bought specifically to pull off those frustrating lift and peel tabs on bottles!

I usually use whatever is handy... a chair, the cabinets, my husband... etc.@Beth Gallagher I like that, but its plastic and might snap and then what? You'd hurt yourself and end up in a wheelchair or something.
I'd grab a good sturdy piece of a tree branch trimmed to the proper length, or an old ax handle may do the duty.
"Help, I've fallen down and can't find that thing I bought on Amazon!"I'm finding it increasingly difficult to get up from the ground or floor, digging in bottom cabinets, etc. I saw this gadget and it looks like it would be handy. Of course the challenge will be remembering to get it before I get down on the floor.

Only wearing slip on shoes or flip flop thongs depending on the weather.
Zippers are easier than buttons.
Pull over shirts.
If I was a woman, I would wear one of those cloth tents some women wear, but with nice embroidery around the neckline.
I don't know about the embroidered neckline, but I think a long, loose garment would be great for non-climbing work. Men did after all, once wear togas and kilts (which were once very similar to togas). Tunics and current-day kilts wouldn't be suitable for any kind of work unless you had stunning legs.Given this some thought, have we?![]()
I might have to try that, specially if it helps with arthritis. Does it feel greasy after you put it on? (I hate that...) Because I take an NSAID pain reliever named Nabumetone for arthritis, my hands and arms bruise easy and get cut easier. It's quite annoying. But the latest one I have never seen another one like it. I was getting ready to sit in my wheelchair and lost my balance. However, I did not fall this time. I caught myself on my wheelchair. I just smacked my left hand on a wall pretty hard with a hard scrape. The bruise started forming in seconds. My vote is for Arnica gel in a pump bottle. Noted to calm and get rid of bruises in quick time and yes
it does, but I also discovered it helps calm pain too. I'm always knocking meself now and it bloomin hurts.
Now, I immediately use Arnica and the pains gone so quickly. Its good to use 'cos it sinks right in and no
'orrible smell to put up with.
My wife has osteoarthritis and swears by arnica gel. No greasy feel and it seems to soak right in. It also addresses bruising, and our son who was on a football team used it both for bruising and internally (tablets, not gel) for concussion prevention.I might have to try that, specially if it helps with arthritis. At first it was a typical bruise. But within a half hour had taken on the shape of a mushroom, which I thought was rather amusing because I was listening to The Allman Brothers Band, and one of their logo images is a mushroom. The next morning it looked really weird. The top looked about the same purplish red color, but you could clearly see a light blue bruise under that, sticking on one edge, with an almost round blood blister on the top. I could tell if it popped, it would be messy so I put a big bandage on it, just in case. These things usually don't hurt. I get them from a soft scrape that I don't feel sometimes. But this was a hard slam against a wall, and it really hurts.
Mine too, Jake made me a great walking stick from a tree limb, works great to keep me steady walking on deer tracks that lump up the path.My hiking sticks goes with me on all walks. I started using it after I fell three times in two weeks last year and I haven't fallen since.
It's like having three legs.
Tell me about it! The older I get the lower they are.The only thing I have that's helped in my old age is lowered expectations.
Me too.@Beth Gallagher I like that, but its plastic and might snap and then what? You'd hurt yourself and end up in a wheelchair or something.
