What Are You Doing Today?

It's hard to explain. It's like a fruit juice, only there's an underlying metal-like feeling on your tongue.

It's the aftertaste that tastes like beets.

I drink it every day. It's rich in Folate B9, which really helps promote heart health. (2x heart attack survivor here)

It also contains Vitamin C, B6 (good for red blood cells), Manganese (liver and kidney).

The betalains are also a natural anti-inflammatory for joints.

I've read it's also good for lowering blood pressure.
For lowering blood pressure I have beet root powder with raw cacao powder mixed in warm (not hot) water to help it dissolve. You can add a jigger of pomegranate juice.

I am finished cleaning my oven and it kicked my ass. It wasn’t even all that dirty. All I wanted was the oven splatters to be cleaned up, and my oven racks to be sparkly. Every inch of my old body hurts. I’m finished for the day.

Next time I will just buy a new stove.:ROFLMAO:
My ex sister-in-law said every time her oven got too dirty they would move. Not sure if she was kidding. I am surprised how difficult it is to clean today. I used to clean houses as a side hustle, although we didn't call it that back then. It was always easier to clean someone else's house because you could stand back and see the results and leave. Here I can stand back and see the results in one area and someone comes in and messes it up again. I can't leave.

I've been mixing cacao powder in my ice cream with yogurt ,so thats why my BP is good, i'd never guessed it..

I need to sit up and pay attention to these holistic recipes for high BP. ^^^^

I unloaded the horse feed I bought yesterday. Other than getting the horses fed 3X today , I haven’t done anything else.

I’m waiting for High Potential to come on ABC. I love that show.

Curse of Oak Island is on at the same time. I record that and will watch it at a later date.

We got up at 6 am to prepare to go to have a blood test ( both of us ) I went to have one yesterday while hubby was at the doctors but it was going to be a very long wait ….41 people before me , never ever seen so many waiting and think it was most likely caused by the Easter break of 4 days with next to nothing open ( shops were only open for a short while on Saturday )

We was standing on the doorstep of the pathology at 7 am this morning ….waiting for it to open at .7.30 am …we was first in …( hubs was given a form to have a blood test while at the doctors yesterday as well) …….so both got it over and done with this morning

Right now, I am at McDonald’s, having spent 32 minutes walking here, because I have to get all my daily exercise in during the last few hours of the day, because I dismantled my old elliptical glider, having worn it out, and haven’t put the new one together yet, or done any other exercise. A walk to McDonald’s and back, taking a longer route, gets at least my minimums in. I’m just having coffee so don’t nag me about calories.

So how far away is Maccas @Ken Anderson

I had a dreaded dentist appointment yesterday, I walked there and back … I’m gonna check think it was 2.5 km return trip…nah only 2.3 km trip
My watch was still running while in the dentist so it shows 1 hour and 23 mins ….my heart rate at dentist …119 BPM …did I mention ….I dislike dentists
🤭

Here we get a free small coffee if we spend $5 on food …..and show our state seniors card

@Kate Ellery, it's about a mile and a half, but I take a circuitous route to get my exercise time in. In total, it was just over 4 miles.

That’s quite a walk , it’s good to keep active …we are dancing tomorrow ,we’ve tried measuring steps however we glide so it only registers some ..steps ,we’ve tried a variety of watches activities ( it’s got a dance in fitness ) still doesn't work ( claims we did about 400 steps for the whole 2 + hours activity )

Down to weeding, seeding, planting 75 gladiolas and mulching of about 1/4 of the back yard. Then transplanting all the vegetable babies from the garage and hot tub enclosure. I want my space back!

@Ken Anderson -- I wouldn't have been able to pass up the Blue Ox. :D

Today we're planting a few things that I couldn't resist at the garden center yesterday. Some new purple fountain grasses to replace the shabby ones by the pool, a couple of pink hibiscus for large clay pots, some mini day lillies in yellow, and some gorgeous purple salvia for the flower bed. I also bought a small false aralia for my patio collection and a light pink Christmas cactus. Happy dance!!

I love purple fountain grass. There is nothing like surrounding your comfort zone with all those beautiful flowers and plants to relax around and admire. 🌺🌸:)

I'm cleaning bathrooms and doing some light cleaning around the house. My husband has gone fishing this morning with his fishing buddy, and I can usually get a lot of work done when he is not underfoot. 😂 I am enjoying my short term solitude.😉
