What Are You Doing Today?

Collected my grocery delivery 8 am. Collected all my trash for Monday's pick up. Fixed a mug of cappuccino and sat down at my laptop for a while. Went outside in the backyard and collected outdoor stuff I no longer wanted and dumped it in trash. Surveyed the yard saw sprouts in my flower beds. Crocus has bloomed so pretty - they are purple or blue for some. Enjoyed the sunshine and blue sky. Then tackled my Jeep she's been down. I guess this winter was pretty hard on her. My jump starter didn't turn her engine over for the second try, wah, wah. Back inside put away dishes from last night. Probably three days worth, not a lot for one person now. Thanking God for another day.

Did you try rebooting your Roku tv? Unplug the power from it for several seconds and pull the remote batteries for several seconds. I do this at least weekly to my Roku devices.

Faye, I don't have access to the settings. The problem per YouTube is the red light that the remote links to needs to be replaced. When I watched the video I thought 'That's easy to do.' :rolleyes:but I don't wanna. Funny thing is that it's like a regular smart tv but I have to manually operate surround sound with its remote or just get up and do it.

No clue! This all sounds above my antiquated skill set and retirement pay grade. If I can't reboot it, I toss it. 🤣

Last winter, I bought eight 40-lb bags of cheap cat litter and carried them in the back for traction. That didn't help much, if at all. Studded tires didn't help either.
I grew up in Illinois and they can get tons of snow and ice. But I didn't drive on snow or ice until 1980 when I lived in Tusayan, Arizona, 5 miles from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The have absolutely brutal winters there and Flagstaff. I moved to Eureka from Flagstaff...

I had a doctor appointment this morning; just regular checkup and medication discussion. My blood pressure was surprisingly low since I have severe white-coat syndrome; even the doctor remarked about it. Of course I'm taking 3 different BP meds now so it's about time I got it under control.

She has banned me from NSAIDS, including Naproxen that is my holy grail gout treatment. 😫 Apparently my kidney numbers are showing a little decline and she says I am officially an occasional Tylenol user from now on.

I stopped by Home Depot to pick up a bag of potting soil and noticed a new shipment of fruit trees. Of course they drew me in like a magnet, and I came home with a little Lisbon lemon tree.

Had a bit of self pity party after an unexpected conversation with my PCP. Pulled my britches up and tackled bath room floors. An hour of weed pulling allowed me to let off some steam. Dinner is ready to go on the grill.

First things first - hot tub, Merlot, discussing how our day went. Today also closing all the hatches as severe weather is due tonight.

Folks do you realize that Friday will be the 13th?

Went grocery shopping and both supermarkets in the town where our main shopping is as well as Foodland in the other town were packed to,
the brim …..for a Tuesday …..shelves were bare in sections like long life milk ….powdered milk ….loo paper …it was like Covid all over again , I said the cashiers in Aldi and Foodland are people panic buying …..both said yes …. oh dear ….no thanks …..

we don’t want that all over again ….thank you …..

We normally do shopping on a Wednesday ( our pension day ) as we gets discounts for seniors 5% on that day …( At Foodland )

.its usually busy …but it was like a Wednesday today ….

I did buy a pack of powdered milk…but just normal shop apart from that

Our petrol has risen to $2.20 a litre …not gallon a ….Ltr ……from $1.50 last week …it’s normally cheaper in Australia 🇦🇺 as we go into cooler months….lots of price gouging going on …as usual at any sign of issues oversees ……..you’d think many food producing factories would hsve learned from Covid ….but apprently not …..still way to much “ rubbish “ foods flooding out shores …..

And doctors are wondering why there’s so many in their 30’s with stomach cancer in Australia …😟😟..I can answer that look at what food they are eating …..as well as drinks …no one in the younger age group I know drinks water 💦….

To me drinking nice fresh clean water flushes the system ,….. I’ll have mine with fresh lemon juice ..thanks 😀😀
