Stray and Feral Cats

I love my Ring showing the cats on patrol around my house. They are on a timely schedule, so I know if I get the ring ding at a certain time, it is a cat and usually the same one. Orangie stops and poses when the voice tells her she is being recorded. A bit of a diva, I suppose, but the number one vole killer in the FF border patrol. Tunnel under my fence and you answer to the CEA - Cat Enforcement Agency. No sanctuary status granted here. :sneaky:

Our new neighbor lets her cats run free, and I don't have an issue with it as long as they don't use our garden beds as litter boxes. We used to leave the greenhouse doors open and we can no longer do that. There is also an apparently feral cat (tortoiseshell) that roams the property occasionally. Our own cats wiped out the ground-nesting bird population and it is just now beginning to recover as the new predators move in to disrupt it once again.

When I went out this morning to water the plants on my deck I heard someone spitting at me. I moved the raspberry canes a bit and saw a pretty, small cat on my lower deck looking back at me. He is not feral, I have seen him before, just not friendly. A neighborhood cat.
When I went out to water in the front, I noticed that he or some other critter matching his height had marked my front door frame.

He is welcome to all the chipmunks he can catch around my house.
