He's an adult, so I'd rather it be his decision.
I don't know if I mentioned before that I am allergic to cats and there is this one gray stray cat that seems to have somewhat become attracted to me. I don't feed it. I had an unusual encounter with it.
I opened my backdoor only to see this cat standing a few paces away meowing. My usual response "What are you doing here, go home?" I proceed through the door and it walks toward me. I walk in another direction and into the yard. I'm standing near a flower bed and this cat follows me, meowing and then starts rubbing against my legs and persists even when I move away. For fear of it jumping up on me I hurried back in the house all the while telling it to go home. Yesterday it was at the backdoor wailing. It's weird.
Sorry you are allergic to cats, Von. If you don’t want the kitty hanging around, don’t feed it! It will never leave! They learn real quick where to get a free meal.
I have had my fair share of stray kitties over the years, but I like cats.
I know other people who can't touch cats because they are allergic and it would cause them great sneezing fits, or if they would rub their eyes after touching a cat their eyes would swell. My nephew is allergic to cats and dogs, yet he has furry critters because he has young kids who wanted them. He takes an allergy pill.
Not feeding stray cats I learned years ago. Learned that I was allergic to cats when my oldest son and wife had a cat. It behaved the same way, rubbing against me. After leaving I would start sneezing my head off and watery eyes. Put two and two together - voila!
I just think it's strange that this cat seems to know when I'm outside and appears in the most awkward places that makes me jump when I see it suddenly staring at me.
