Problems With Your Purchase?

Are you sure that is actually from Amazon ? I have gotten emails like that, but they turned out to be spam.
I had 2 spam …scam emails this morning claiming it was from Amazon ….and someone had been trying to log into my account ..both emails included a code to log into my account …yeah sure …I never leave my card number on the Amazon site for security.

It’s the only way we can pay for purchases using credit card , last time I looked they didn’t have Pay Pal on the Aussie site

I got a follow-up email giving the amount my credit card was gonna be credited. The email cited the card# I use on Amazon. I'm more concerned over what in the heck I've been ingesting.
So now they are asking for CC information ? I am still totally skeptical that this is not a scam, @John Brunner . Be careful. You might want to call amazon and ask if they actually sent you this email.

I probably worded that wrong.

I got a second email from Amazon stating "Your Credit Card ending in xxxx-xxxx-1234 and expiring 12/25/26 is being credited in the amount of $65." I was saying that the CC# they referenced in the email is correct.

Back in the old days, a real human had to burn up their time on the telephone in order to part us with our hard-earned cash. Now it's automated, and practically free for the scammers to operate.

A few years ago, I purchased some rechargeable batteries for high-powered lanterns for emergencies during blackouts. They are rather pricey - around $25.00 each & each lantern takes three of them. Nine of them wouldn't hold a charge. I suspected how I ended up with them. Some people will buy new batteries, then contact the company & say their new batteries are defective. The company will say, "Return for replacement" & the customer returns their old batteries they've been using for years. Then the company repackages those old batteries & resells them.
When I contacted the company, they offered to sell me replacement batteries for half price.
I said that was not fair because I already paid full price for nine batteries that don't work.
They said, "That's the best we can do."
I said, "Fine, but I frequently review products & services on several websites & I'll be sure to warn others.
The next day, I got an e-mail saying the replacement batteries are on the way.
