Problems With Your Purchase?

I would absolutely complain about that. Groceries are too expensive to be ruined by carelessness.
I totally agree with this. I use Walmart Delivery for our groceries the majority of the time now, so we do not have to use the vehicle as much.
Last year, every time I ordered cherries, they would bring me the red grapes instead of cherries. I would write and say that I didn’t get my cherries, and that they sent grapes. They always took off the price of the cherries, so I was not charged for them. But we ended up with grapes we didn’t need.

When the order is delivered, there is a place to rate the driver and the order, so you can also report on there that the bananas were packed underneath of canned goods. If the bananas were bruised, they will refund the price for them, too.

You just reminded me the last delivery they had nectarines on sale and I ordered them instead I got plums, at a higher price. When you order they give you the option of selecting a substitute and for fruit I check off don't substitute.

I'm not 100% sure of their system but I don't think the driver necessarily packs the bags. I'm hesitant to complain, don't want to see anyone getting fired, I wish they had a suggestion box instead.

I'm not planning on renewing my membership.

Sometimes the driver does the shopping, but usually the driver just picks up the order and delivers. Once it is delivered. Walmart gives you a notice that it is delivered and asks how the order was and the delivery. If there were missing items or other mistakes, then you can send in that information, and they will refund the price right away.
With the driver, it is just an option to say how good a delivery job they did.
We have drivers that just sit in their car in the street and not even in the driveway and let Bobby take everything out of their trunk, and other drivers that do a great job, park in the driveway and get the groceries out for Bobby to carry in.
If there is a mistake, sometimes they give you a coupon code you can use for a discount on the next order, too.

I've been purchasing groceries from Walmart and having them delivered. I got a good deal on the delivery yealy fee so I took advantage of it.

The biggest problem I'm seeing is how they pack the bags. As an example today's delivery had a gallon of milk, a half gallon of Lactaid free milk, and a bottle of orange juice, stuffed into one of their paper bags. It was heavy I carried the bag from the bottom I didn't use the handles for fear it would rip.

Another bag loaded with looked like dumped (random) canned food when we got to the bottom they were on top of a bunch of bananas. Similarly a bag had 2 - 2 ltr sodas laying flat on top of a loaf of white bread.

We had this problem in the past a few times. Seems some training on how to pack a grocery bag is needed. Maybe a don't and do's visual instruction sign.
Passive resistance.

I haven't ordered groceries from Walmart, but I order other things. I have to say that they are quick to deliver. I ordered some things late Friday and they were delivered Saturday. I have never had an incorrect item delivered.
I've never had a problem with orders that I got in the mail just hand delivered from the grocery store.

Some of their items are sold from a third party, not directly from Walmart. I have had problems with third party sellers having long delays where I had to cancel the order.

When our house was being refurbished after the fire we were told to go pick out our kitchen major appliances, and to have them delivered. Contractor said they would be installing kitchen cabinets and they would need the appliances soon. My wife and I did some research, and based on recommendations and internet ratings we decided to go with LG for all the appliances in the kitchen. We reviewed the refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and over the stove microwave for reliability, features, size, and looks. The manufacturers warranty was one year, so we purchase an additional warranty of 5 years for repair and parts.

About 3 weeks before Christmas our refrigerator came up with an error code IF E, which had something to do with the fan for the ice maker. Not knowing if that affected the refrigerator or just the ice, in a rush to save what foods was in the refrigerator and freezer they were removed an squeezed into our backup refrigerator. We found out later this error code only affected the ice and water dispenser, not the refrigerator.

After contacting the store we purchase the appliances, then the warranty service, then they connected us to a repair service we got a date for a repair man to come and fix the refrigerator.

The repair man couldn't fix the refrigerator on the 1st visit he needed a part. In total it took about 2 weeks for the refrigerator to be repaired.

On Christmas day our dishwasher came up with a error code IE which was not enough water fill. Bottom line the warranty company said between the cost of the part and the labor cost it was not worth repairing. They are sending us a check for about 80% of the purchase price. We feld we should have gotten a full refund, but after disagreeing with the store and warranty service we got nowhere.

Both these appliances broke down in 2 years and one month.

We purchase a Bosch Dishwasher from Costco and are waiting for the installation this coming Monday.

I remember one of my refrigerators running for 20 years, and we replaced it not because it was not working but we wanted a bigger one.

Any problems with a purchase or warranty, let's hear about it. It might be helpful to others.
I've never purchased an extended warranty for any product. The warranty comes from a separate company that has nothing to do with the store & if the warranty company goes out off business, you're out of luck. Even if they're still in business, they'll make the repair procedure so complicated & frustrating, most people will not think it's worth their time. They exist only for profit & they only profit when they don't repair or replace - much like home insurers that avoid replacing houses after a fire (like they're doing now in CA with hundreds of homeowners who paid premiums for years).
I bought a Whirlpool fridge 14 years ago - still good. But I don't want ice makers or water dispensers. They often cause problems. BTW, when a product fails soon after purchase, I'M the one who offers the store a solution: Full refund or I dispute the charge. I've only had to resort to that once. Stores know you have that option when you pay with a credit card. And they can't intimidate assertive people into accepting partial refunds.

I'm mad at Amazon. Specifically, their piss-poor "customer service" which apparently has moved from some remote corner of India (thanks, Habu) to total AI nonsense. I HATE "chatting" with AI. 🤬

A few days ago I ordered a chainsaw on a pole and it was supposed to be here the next day. It didn't show up and according to my account it hadn't been shipped, so I tried to contact them. What a joke; everything is so buried and hidden on that website it is an exercise in frustration and futility to get customer service. If you weren't mad before, you certainly will be by the time you get connected to "an agent."

I finally got a chat agent after going through 500 menus and was told the saw will be here today and was offered a $25 credit for my inconvenience. So far the saw is not here and there's no sign of the $25.

I agree that it is hard to, not just with amazon, but almost anyplace we call now , we have to go through an automated call before finally finding a way to reach an actual human, and then hoping it is not halfway across the world and can’t speak legible English.
I usually call their regular phone number, but even then, you have to work your way to a human being. The number I call is this one : 206-922-0880, which goes to the Washington state office of customer service.

It just peeves me that they want people to give up and go away, instead of offering decent customer service. I guess Bezos isn't rich enough yet so he has to cut more entry level jobs so he can buy his new wife some more plastic boobs. I remember when Amazon was the gold standard of retail customer service but that is gone forever in the name of progress.

I have two cents to put in, if they count anymore.

Yesterday, I thought I was on a loop when I was trying to speak to a person about my electric bill. Every time I would select a number I would get the same recording and told to select a number again. I know I did this a least 3 times and was about to disconnect when suddenly there was silence on the line.

I just got an email from Amazon regarding some supplements I purchased nearly a full year ago:

We're contacting you about order 114-6775544-1866645 for the following item(s):

Puritan's Pride Coenzyme CoQ10 200mg, Dietary Supplement for Heart Health, Oral Gum Health, and Healthy Aging Support, 240 Rapid Release Softgels, 2-Pack

At Amazon, customer trust is our top priority, and we go to great lengths to provide you with vast and authentic selection, fast delivery, and low prices. As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that you can shop with confidence in Amazon's stores, we recently learned the product you received from a third-party seller is likely not an authentic Puritan's Pride product. The inauthentic nature of this product also means that the product may present a potential safety risk, including in the case of food and health products labeling may not reflect the actual ingredients, which could lead to potential adverse health effects.

If you still have this product, we urge you to stop using it immediately and destroy or dispose of the item in a manner that will ensure it is not used by others. There's no need for you to return the product. We've issued the refund to your original payment method. Refunds are applied to the payment method used for the original purchase and typically complete within 3 to 5 business days.

If you purchased this item for someone else, please notify the recipient and let them know they should stop using and dispose of the item.

Products offered for sale on Amazon must be authentic. As a result, we've taken action against the supplier of this product and removed their ability to supply products for sale in Amazon’s stores. If you would like to purchase a replacement, authentic products are available in our store.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Thanks for choosing Amazon.

Ain't that great??? The darned things are in a Puritan's Pride bottle. On the upside, I usually have about 12 months worth of supplements on hand, but I stopped taking everything but a multivitamin when I had some procedure a while ago and wanted everything out of my system. I've not gotten back on my full regime, so the CoQ10 from this order was not commingled with my other bottles; otherwise, I'd be chucking a year's worth. And I recall cracking this bottle open just a month or so ago.

During a Shopping High, I never think to look at who the seller is (A. Khan Products.) I need to remember to do this, especially with supplements/food items.

dammit

I don't like doing business with third party sellers. When I'm on the Walmart site I click on Walmart only for purchases. I've had too many experiences with third parties not having the product in stock and taking the orders anyway. I believe they're hoping you'll get discouraged and forget about looking for a refund.

I guess that's one layer of protection, if one can assume that amazon/Walmart do a good job of vetting their sources for food stuff.

Are you sure that is actually from Amazon ? I have gotten emails like that, but they turned out to be spam.

When I got an email from Amazon "Regarding your order," the first thing I did was look at the sender's email address. Then I logged on to my Amazon account, pulled up that order, and verified that I had purchased that product on the order referenced in the email. Besides, the email did not as me to follow a link or to reply or ask me to take action or anything like that. It didn't ask me to get angry, either...but I did.

I don't recall if it was here or somewhere else where I got into a spat with someone over the quality of Swanson supplements. "100% Made in the USA." Well, maybe they are assembled here, but if you look on the FAQ page, buried in there is the disclosure that the contents of the capsules are "Globally Sourced" from various countries, including India and China. Swanson cannot tell you which specific products (much less which production runs) may contain Chinese ingredients.

I've bought from iHerb before, but only to find stuff that is out of stock elsewhere. Funny, I was thinking of paying more attention to the Seller on Amazon and only buy from things sold by Amazon, but I have no idea where Amazon might be getting the stuff.
