I was on a broiled lamb chop kick for a while. It's very good. They came in factory-wrapped containers that were bulging due to the out-gassing. I agree about the smell, but the flavor is pretty good.

Agree. I don't care for any "gamey" meat. Our middle son is a hunter and he always gives us venison sausage but I don't want any of it.

I've had nasty, strong venison and I've had great venison. The nasty stuff is taken in the woods and the mountains where they eat acorns and roots. The good stuff is taken around farmland where they're corn-fed.

I ate venison in the UP of Michigan many times, growing up, and liked it. I tried it twice in Texas, both from white-tailed deer; only the Texas venison was disgusting.
