Just More of Ken's Nonsense

You're not too far from where I grew up, then. I was born in Marinette, Wisconsin (only because my parents preferred the Marinette hospital to the one that was then in Menominee), and grew up in Wallace, just north of Menominee, Michigan.
That is why I was offering to find you a stop over motel on your trips out here. I am just off Lake Winnebago.

Earlier today:
  1. Walk to McDonald's: 1.3 miles, and another 1.5 miles back

Night hike, returning at 11:15 pm, 2.7 miles. The wooded section to the north is on a fairly high hill, with a steep climb going up and a similar drop coming out of it at the other end. There is a trail, but there are roots, rocks, and drop-offs, and it was very dark tonight, with little moonlight available. I brought a flashlight, as I always do for night walks, but I like to try to navigate without it.

We walk at night if it’s been stinking hot during the day , but we ovoid the beach as there’s snakes 🐍 out at night , they apparently live in the beach cliffs and feast of rare plovers who nest in the cliffs as well
