It's true, Katey. I had no changing table, so when my babies were first born, the kitchen counter (or table top) sufficed in getting them ready for bath-time. I changed diapers in the baby cribs or in the the bathroom on the counter. As my little ones grew I moved to bathing them in one of those small plastic baby bathtubs which I'd set down inside the full-sized bathtub, and then I progressed to bathing them in the full-sized bathtub.@Madge Bumstead wonder how it’s viewed by younger generation , ….changing clothing / nappies on the table …..we all done it ..even sprinkled baby powder and I used to put the baby bath on the table ,boil the kettle for the hot water …cold water that all came out of a rainwater tank in the backyard
All. On the on the same table we ate at ..didn’t think twice about doing it …I never had a change table …used the same table we sat down to eat at
Oh, those frilly little diaper pants/covers were the sweetest. And guess what Kate? We all lived.
This one is for you Madge. Admiring friends little girls wearing these frilly over the nappies pants. I had boys so no frills for me.
