Yep, any where the ground freezes to any depth, you get rock movement. Our place is on what was likely a glacial moraine at one time, so there are lots of rocks, but the drainage is great once the thin soil thaws.
 
Hopefully the sprinkler system is fixed. There is a special place for contractors in afterlife!

Chard is exploding as is dill, peas are finally blooming. Cosmos and star gazers offer free buffet for pollinators and hummers. Holly hocks as everywhere.

SO added two bird houses last week. Seven have tenants and are on their second clutch. For two days a blue bird tried to move in but he wanted furnished while nobody wanted to leave.
 
The side of my house became over run with overgrown weeds. I hired a 2 gardeners to pull the weeds, and lay weed blocker to prevent there return. It turned out good. There is a raised bed there already, I want to add more raised beds and some pots. Before and after photos below.

I started two pots of potatoes a few weeks ago, they are doing well. The leaves look healthy and are a nice dark green.

Unless somebody volunteers to help, looks like all my vegetable gardening is going to be either in pots or raised beds. I will start planting every my seedlings this week. I may have the purchase more soil for the pots and raised beds.

We may have similar climates @Jacqueline Lindt depending on what part of Canada you occupy. We seldom if ever put any type of squash or pumpkin into the garden before June, but we do plant cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower, onions, leeks, and kale out side in May. We also plant the greenhouses in May (or sometimes before that). Do you have a greenhouse, a tunnel or anything like that? We often put low tunnels over the squash and pumpkins after planting to give them a head start. The tunnels have to be removed once the zucchini and other squash begin to bloom to allow pollination. Be sure not to disturb the roots when transplanting squash and cucumbers. Seeds usually know when to emerge from the soil, so when planting seeds, it is not a big problem.
