Fast Food Experiences

We have recently discovered Chick-fil-a breakfast biscuits. We are not breakfast eaters on a regular basis, but if we are near a CFA before 10:30 a.m. we have to stop and get a biscuit. (The small fried chicken filet on a fresh biscuit.)

I had them the first time in June 1963 when we moved to Virginia from Indiana. I was a kid and hated ketchup on my burger, and they didn't do special orders. I was not impressed, either, but have been back many times.

Back in the midwest, fast food places served hot dogs and root beer.

Started in 1953 (a year before I was born) with 20 still in operation.
Not to mention that they had the best "Indiana State-Mandated Sandwich", the fried pork tenderloin on a bun. There was one near the house I grew up in and that was my favorite sandwich.

Although I've never seriously viewed it as Mexican food, I used to like Taco Bell, and there was a time when I could eat stuff from Taco Bell without slobbering it all over my shirt; it's not me - there's way more liquid than meat these days.

I don't think I ever ate at a Taco Bell until maybe 10 years ago, and nothing else was open. I was surprised at how "not awful" it was.
