What Are You Doing Today?

I really don't have anything of interest to post, but after ordering new USA New Balance walking shoes, due to mine being 2 1/2 years old, with heels really worn bad (slightly twisted my ankle this AM), then adding a pair of USA SAS sandals like the ones I love, and then adding USA SAS insoles, I must do something that doesn't cost money. Oh, yes the offers I made on a couple pair of USA comfort stretchy jeans, was accepted, so as a week day banker but also Sunday preacher might say, Jesus saves, Faye withdraws. :sneaky:

Neurologist has the personality of a Valium. When he hammered on my arm I decided this is a no. Do we have an issue here? Yes, this is old lady skin! I was hammering on my finger. Ok, proceed. Two separate issues and both can be managed. So a very specific MRI and something he does next week. I thanked him and said that nobody has given me an answer in years. How many neurologists have you seen? One, you!
The hot banana pepper sauce with honey was declared nice with somewhat of an after bite. Yeah! I keep being surprised by the amount of vegetables that go into sauces and pickles.

Nothing new to report on cancer journey #3. Just waiting for specialty surgeon appointment.

Nothing planned today other than walk and my latest amazing Poshmark find arriving. I'll post about it on latest purchases thread.

Vision bad today. I have no idea why other than my TN is acting up making below and around my eye feel numb.

I am back to eating my morning banana and coffee ice cream. Going off bananas didn't help lower my potassium level any. It did give my :poop: a free pass to being messy again, leading to a high TP usage. It is a win win with bananas causing near constipation, but the coffee ice cream containing anti freeze (polypropylene glycol) thus thwarting any constipation. It is a great combo for regulation without legislation. 🤣
Sodium is supposed to balance potassium. Maybe go and chow down on cheese doodles?

I thought potassium is supposed to balance sodium so I need to do some studying. For many of us at this age, the increased potassium is due to failing kidneys; they are losing their "filtering" ability. Increasing sodium will just put more stress on the kidneys so it's best to use caution with this stuff.

Crying, lots of crying, Our niece who we rent from is in ICU in Dallas, after major back surgery. She is septic,
As of last night she was a bit better. Then my oldest daughter has stage 4 female cancer and next Wed, doctors will remove all female organs.Between all that and then Marks dental surgery come Monday- am a bit down. But hoping to get good news on niece soon !

You are right and it just goes to show you should do your own research.

Good afternoon to all- Well, let's see what I did today...

Went down to the flying field early this morning to fly a little RC airplane- most enjoyable.

Came back home and ran the big field trimmer to clear some overgrown weeds to make room for more fall-winter veggies. Then set sprinkler in the garden to water the fall/winter crops coming up- so far, it all looks quite good. Let the water run for a few hours.

Went into town to get chicken feed re-stock. Somehow, a carton of ice cream made it back to the house with me- don't know how that happened...

Crawled up under the fishing boat to repair a couple of trailer keel rollers- hot, dirty, and difficult, but got it all done.

I'm sitting here in the cool typing to you folks right now- the cats wonder where I have been neglecting them and their needs.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

Welllll, I didn't get as much done as you, Ed, and no ice cream followed me anywhere.
: (
But I have to do a lot of cleaning and restocking my storage which definitely can be dirty and difficult. As a prepper I have a lot of cans, jars, vitamin bottles, ketchup and mustard bottles, wine bottles (for cooking).... and shelves to be wiped down and re arranged. I will say that my use of the corn muffin mix, mixed with baking soda is having an effect on the mice coming in for the winter. First flat I took down contained jars of salsa and a not too recent dried mouse. Makes me happy and disgusted at the same time.
I have used it at the barn and it has some effect. Hope it continues as I had to replace A LOT of wiring on mowers etc.
I have been working out my leg with the help of the total gym and it seems to help. Fingers crossed but it will take all winter at this rate.
no cats in the house anymore.

Just came back from the dentist to check the surgery site. He said "It looks very good; continue with salt water." He also explained that the yellow area in the middle is normal & it will turn to pink when it heals completely. He didn't ask me if I've been taking the antibiotic, which I'm not because it makes me very sick. Besides, I've had 30 root canals & 12 extractions without antibiotics & without any infection. And I'm back to HOT coffee, the way I like it. :giggle:
