I went to my dermatologist appointment this morning. All is well with my skin, except I still had a little precancerous spot on my face that didn’t quite go away from my last year’s visit. Last year, she froze the spot and it blistered and scabbed. But, there is still a little spot left that looks like dry skin even though I slater my skin with lotion every day. She said she could either freeze it again, or give me a tube of cream to apply to the spot for 2-4 weeks; then come back to see her in Dec. to see if it has gone away. I chose the cream thinking that would be better. It’s just cream after all, I thought. She gave me Fluorouracil. I found out it is also called chemo lotion. I don’t know why I have to google every medicine I get!
It scares the crap out of me, and I scare easy! The spot will become red, raw, burning, etc., and then scab.
It will take 2 months after the treatment for it to maybe look better.
