He meant well!

Probably not much today. Yesterday was very tiring for us both. Him doing serious carpet cleaning all day long. Me cleaning out vacuum cleaner and doing put backs where things were moved. I have few things to put back today.
I am planning on calling my oldest daughter, she is having major surgery Sept 2
Wish I could be there.:(

I'm not doing much here today neither. Just sitting around pecking away on the computer comparing prices for different items that I have my eye on to buy. I wish we still had our malls around here to wander around in. Sometimes I like see items that I am buying. The only deceit store around here is Dillard’s. We use to have so many nice stores but they are all gone now.:(

I miss shopping. But I guess that most stores became nothing more than showrooms for online merchants. "I can get that cheaper online."

Yet one more way we do not interact with each other anymore.

The brutal heat/humidity from hael started making a comeback this weekend. It’s a long boring story, for anyone who has never owned horses, but the lady who loaned me her Arab as a companion to my senior fella, had three weeks to get her other two equids moved, after being there five years .

The other horse border had lived on the property 14 years. He is close to my age. He had six horses and a lot of equipment to move.

The lady in one of the other rental homes is 72 and had also lived there many years.

Yet everyone was given a near impossible notice to move off this 63 acre ex training facility. Yepper, big money (likely a housing development) talks and ethics/integrity walks. 😡😡

I said all that to say, I was on the 4-wheeler and the John Deere all weekend, getting my far pasture ready for the Mustang & the donkey who were the Arabian’s pasture buds. I drank a lot of water and was in/out of the house to cool off. I evidently still managed heat exhaustion because it was all I could do to get to the chiropractor this morning and not be sick while I was there.

Since I am a long way from the 40 year old I pretended to be while running the equipment, I have been a beached whale most of the rest of the day.Tomorrow will be better, even though the temperature is soaring to a real temp of near 100 degrees. I am trying not to complain about the heat because it’s still better than the other side of that coin, BUT I am so over it……

I am also trying not to complain because there are so many folks who have much more negativity and health issues to deal with than I do.

We spent the day in Anchorage. My brother left today and we took him to the airport, then went to Red Robin for lunch. After that it was Lowe's and then Home Depot, followed by Costco. We arrived home around 5 PM and began the garden and greenhouse clean up. We had hods, "Israeli buckets" and berry buckets with us as well as the tractor. The small stuff was for the greenhouse left overs and the tractor was for the zucchini and other squash and the dill(which is almost 6 feet tall). Wife had a few things to enter in the fair tomorrow, but not much this year. The summer has just been too cold and rainy to grow much. Tomatillos did well, however, so now we have to figure out what to do with a lot of those fruit. Potatoes seem to be doing well since we switched to buckets, and we will probably harvest the remainder of those tomorrow.

Sending good vibes for your daughter.

Last week my vision led me to make an erroneous bank transfer (wrong account). Neither institution could put a stop on it when I discovered the mistake the next day. So... much scurrying to cover, an overdraft/return, etc. So far no fees though and today everything appears settled out. I'm hoping the original transfer in error doesn't get presented again. Sheesh.

I'll watch and let it ride a couple of days before doing another transfer to get all of the money where I want it. At least I had my bills all caught up, so no problem with empty accounts while the money was in the Ether. Those ACH delays can get pretty frustrating.
