Do you ever eat bread Steve ? , I used to eat bread at least twice a day , that caused weight …
issues …that was long ago …since I lost weight
17 years ago ….by simply by cutting carbs …..I’ve never eaten much more than 1-2 slices a week if that ….since

I do eat a couple of vita Brit’s for breakfast , That's about all we eat daily ….breakfast and about a 3 ~ 4 pm evening meal

Our meal today for Christmas lunch ….prawns/ avocado/ mango / lettuce .
Had a small serve of chocolate ice cream first desert ….

My daughter is coming over today for Christmas, and we will start the turkey cooking for that early this morning. It is going to be a very relaxed, and easy meal. Just turkey and stuffing, potato salad (already made and chilling in the fridge), and cherry pie for dessert at some point. She is home for the holidays because her whole department closes down from Christmas until New Years, giving her enough time to come home when you add in the weekends.
All the small turkeys were sold, and most of the larger ones; but we will enjoy leftovers, and Robin will have turkey and potato salad to eat while she is home, too.

Kate.... Yes I eat bread but not very much...... I like the multigrain or the pumpernickel bread..
A sandwich or some french toast is when I have bread.. Not every day..

I do however have eggs very often especially at breakfast time.. Almost daily..
I only buy the super jumbo eggs that have 2 yolks.. Double yolk eggs..
We go through about 2 dozen eggs a week...

We have been in "food overload" for a couple of days so decided to have a light supper tonight. I made some vegetable beef soup and we ate it with a few Saltine crackers. Of course we still have tons of sweets and desserts thanks to the kids, so I had a piece of pie with my coffee.

Swedish meatballs that I made using minced chicken..
Served with a mushroom sauce..
Steamed broccoli, peas, pureed carrots..
We were very BAD for dessert... Some chocolate candy from yesterday's party..
Pot of tea to wash down the awful sweet..

Swedish meatballs with mushroom sauce sounds really good, Steve. You have given me a dinner idea for this week.

I've got such great neighbors. I'm 1/2 mile off of the paved road, and there are 2 other houses down here (2 brothers and their families across the driveway from each other.) Every once in a while (usually holidays) I get a Care Package. Today I got ham, chicken wings, chicken tenders, mac & cheese, mac salad, collards, rice, and mashed potatoes. So I'll be having some combination of those tonight.

FISH............... fillets of sole lightly breaded and pan fried in butter with some lime juice..
Pureed carrots with chives, steamed broccoli...
Some awful chocolate candies we got for Christmas....
Pot of tea to wash down the chocolate....

I'm not sure yet. I am still stuffed from yesterday's prime rib Christmas lunch at my Brother's house. Maybe something a little light like; apple slices and cheese.
