I have no idea. I'm on my way to the ophthalmologist and I'm certain he will dilate my eyes, so supper will probably be takeout or sandwiches.
We have good deals on Tilapia here from South America--not China. I used to not like the fish because it tasted like dirt. That was China, not Peruvian. Yum!FISH........... fillets of tilapia lightly breaded and pan fried with some lemon juice...
Steamed broccoli,.... slices of tomato...
pudding served with maple syrup..
Pot of tea................
dang it.., I am drooling for some brisket-We stopped at the local BBQ joint on our way home from the eye doc. I had a plate with brisket, sausage, potato salad and baked beans, with sliced onion and dill pickles. Delicious!
Four pair will get you through until your next trip to town.Yogurt and a peanut butter honey mix on toast, open face. Too tired and too hot for anything else. 4 hours of grueling yard work on a hot sunny day, with only one short break, really took the sass out of me.
After my shower, I had trouble getting on my slim fit jeans and my scales verified the reason. For the first time since before cancer, I saw 150, I think the sudden gain of 8 lbs in the last couple months, has something doing with the oral anti fungal med. Maybe the fungus was stealing some of my nutrition. In any case my jeans now feel like leggings. I do have 4 pair of relaxed fit, so no problem.
We went to, what use to be, our favorite Mexican restaurant yesterday evening for Cinco de Mayo. Wore western attire, somewhat. No cowboy hats, but I did wear my Centennial Livestock Auction (in Fort Collins) baseball cap). We ordered a Taco Salad, but they put a whole lot of ground beef in and we don't eat that much ground beef anymore. So, we both shoveled a lot of it out onto the side of our plates. Got a margarita that ended up needing a second shot of tequila. Last night, after going to bed, we found out that we can no longer handle drinking much alcohol anymore. I can handle a Bloody Mary and my wife can handle a Gin & Tonic, but that's it nowadays. Anyway, we found out that Taco Bells small Taco Salad is MUCH better than this restaurant.
We told the manager and a waitress we've got to know, who had breast cancer some years ago, that we wouldn't be seeing them anymore, due to our move.
So, Bottom Line was: Our Cinco de Mayo celebration was pretty much "so, so".
Exactly. I quit going to Mexican restaurants in Maine because, while I used to love the fajita plates, it has gotten hard to find the fajita.Cody, I have to say that seldom have I heard anyone complain about "too much meat" in a restaurant!!![]()
