What "song" are you listening to now?

I was listening to my Saturday night Fever cd in the car. It occurred to me that when we were rapped up in our own lives in the 50's ans 60's we didn't have to pay so much attention to everyone else's lives to be combative as we are now.;)

True, but we also weren't under constant attack from factions trying to undermine the culture and way of life. No giant minarets blasting Call to Prayer that arose in large part from giving outsized voices to emotional beings caught up in Suicidal Empathy and The Consuming Instinct. The rotting fruit of poor past decisions and misplaced trust that wisdom is universal had not caught up with us yet. The Founders knew the folly of democracy from one historical precedent after another. We're now paying the piper for decades of child-minds voting themselves candy and nuts for decades, damn the big picture they can never comprehend.

So sure, we could put on blinders and let things go to Hell around us passively. Or not.

Well, a small step is to turn away from the mainstream media and demonic political factions repeating lies hoping you will rejejct truth when you hear it.


And I'm not religious at all. Still there is a lot in that song.

The heavy autotuning grates hard on my ears, but that's just today's corn tree moozic.
