A blank avatar IMO, is not interesting and does not promote the idea of interest from that person, or the need to respond.
I assume they visiting, not trying to build a comrade with the group.

I don’t like to see too much personal information, and I often think blank avatars are because folks don’t know how to upload one. This forum’s software is not as easy to upload anything compared to the horse forum I belong to.

That said, my current avatar is that of my dogs — both rescues — one purebred Pitbull, one Catahoula/Pitbull cross.

The red dog is the cross and has been with me 11 of his 12 years.

The “Blue” Pitbull has been here two years already and is much younger than the shelter passed her off to be. I think maybe coming five by now. When my husband passed, I thought the red dog might slit his wrists so I went to the local shelter to get him a friend. Pippa-the-Pit is a lot younger, so keeps the old gent moving❤️❤️
 
@Connie Bennett - well at least the country or state would be nice. Ken always helps those who ask,how to upload anything. Yours is relevant to who you are and can open up a chat on here about dogs and other things.I change mine a lot. That is because I change everything on a regular basis, homescreens, laptop,phone, etc. I have decided its a sickness:eek:
I get bored easily, yet I know it drives others nuts. So sorry. Sometimes it is a mood thingy. The pic I use now of Kansas, where we live now.

I had an avatar of my favorite cow on the last SOC but I don't remember how I did it. I keep photos in my wallet. The last time I tried to put up solar lighting and was successful, my horse came over and bit the panel and broke it. Technology is not my thing and now my kitchen faucet is leaking. Guess how long it will take me to get to the hardware store to get a pack of O rings.

I am pretty sure that it was your pinto horse that you used, you sent it to me in an email and I texted it to Ken, and he posted it for you. We did the same thing for Marie Mallory, because for some reason she could not get her picture to post as an avatar.
I don’t have the one of your horse anymore, but if you want to email it to me again, or one of your favorite cow, then Ken can put it on for your avatar, @Mary Stetler .

I can’t stand drunks or Argumentative know all’s , There’s a place in this world for those types ,as far as the end of the earth for me , is still to close for comfort~ for me
 
If you don't see anything here that interests you, start a thread. If you don't see a topic area to post whatever it is you'd like to talk about, do the best you can, and if there is enough interest, we can start another topic area. If the forum doesn't look busy enough for you, liven it up by replying to a bunch of posts.

Last time we had an area for science and education. If others are interested, it might be something we could add again at some point.
Okay, I see we do have a place for education, not much posted there. Maybe we could add science to the name for this part of the forum ?
