The games threads are showing up with all the new discussion threads, @Ken Anderson . Didn’t you make it so that they didn’t do that before , and can you please do that again, since most of us are not interested in the games ?

I like the “getting it done” idea ! A dedicated place for health, doctors, insurance, medications, and aging, stuff like that is definitely important. Maybe call it something like “growing older”,or “life as a senior”, or something that has to do with aging and will include that whole agenda.
I really want a place to discuss current events , news, weather, etc. , too.

I think the health issues could be a section that includes stuff like diets, exercise, etc. Kind of a general healthcare section.

@Ken Anderson -- I have noticed other Xenforo boards have a small section to the right under Members Online and Forum Statistics that shows "Today's Birthdays." I think that would be a nice addition so we can easily see if someone is having a birthday. Of course this is something that can wait until you have all the other stuff set up.
That's an add-on, probably not a difficult one, but I want to get everything else set up before I move on to add-ons. It is a good idea, though, and it should be doable.
I'm leaning toward a combined forum for "News & Politics," but we need to come up with a category to contain it and maybe at least one other forum within it, perhaps for weather and maybe something else that could be included in the same forum as the weather one.

We've got some new threads, so let's fill them out.
This time around, at least at this point, I am not interested in growing this board beyond what it might take to have something to talk about here. However, we probably do need a few more members than we have right now, so please feel free to invite anyone over fifty who you think might be a good addition to the board. I won't be pushing SEO here, although good SEO practices are a good idea just for the sake of comprehension.

Ken is on the road again, plus the holidays now, so he has not really had a lot of time to spend on just setting up things with this new forum yet, and we all “invaded” while he was still working on getting things ready for this to be a forum.
Meanwhile, we can add our location and custom title in the signature area. Later, those should be doable under the avatars like before.
