What Are You Doing Today?

She must be using dark mode and chose a light grey colored font, it just does not show up at all.

No I didn't change anything ! I went to look at my other posts that I did yesterday morning and they seem to be okay . It's just this one 🤔

Maybe some October "Spookynessss' 😂😂

Forgot to say : Later today I am doing laundry , getting my hubby's prescription at pharmacy and coffee at Tim Horton and just relaxing outside !

Despite my post yesterday, that smacked of laziness and disregard, I went outside and spend 4 hours weed eating, blowing leaves, and doing some weed removal by hand. I am sore from head to toe. I did get a good night sleep after applying Voltaren like I was a Democrat.

Today, after I restring my big Stihl gas powered edger, I will finish the edging and then blow and mow. I estimate about 4 hours. The weather is perfect, so another cup of poor girls mocha and I will don my yard attire and sashay my tired and aching 🫏 out to administer justice to an unruly flower bed and lawn. I hope this last, except for mowing, for a month when I will winterize and officially declare 2026 yard work complete.

Did my weekly idiot rally as in returns, groceries and a quick chat. A 2:00 call with a friend will go into 3:00 and I can core/slice a gallon of peppers for the freezer. With a bit of endurance I should finish the hopef7lly final row of beers on the front yokes. Shiny black look good next to sparkling silver.

I didn't do much today but a little grocery shopping. I was reading about having to catheterize for so long after surgery and they had pros and cons for old folks. The only pro is I won't have to get up at night and can sleep the night thru without fear of bed wetting. WOW! What a perk and something to look forward to! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: If this little gem of wisdom ever gets out, then all old folks might start catheterizing before bed. :sneaky:

Good morning to all-

Not much planned today. Feed chickens, check garden, scratch Gray Tom the outside cat.

Yesterday we made a meat run up to the Creek Indian reservation to buy beef at their excellent meat processing plant- great beef and better prices than the local big box stores- and this is grass-fed beef- not commercially produced feed-lot stuff.

And now we will wait and see what the developing tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico does- we have had no bad tropical weather so far this year- I hope it stays that way.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

Sunny and cool, doggie got us up too early this morning. Just had breakfast. Hubby is preparing to make chicken and sausage gumbo, This is for tomorrow as a close friend here is coming for supper, tomorrow.
Will continue reading over Medicare changes, and trying to decide our date on that end before next year.
Oh, hubby took and old bench he made out to front porch, we have been going out early of morning, sometimes😊 afternoon- waving at the truckers as they go by. Just lovely.

One last thing- the friction among some on this Forum can only be from political comments. Just STOP. move on to other threads, there is no reason to increase the BP because of different ideas and comments. Love to all🌹

I am done with the infamous shirt. It looks sharp and SO will flutter about the weight. Now washing it very carefully and steam pressing from the inside with a cotton cloth to avoid shine on the black fabric.
I wanted to do rhinestone fringe as it has to be B-Western. No go! He does not want classic silk embroidery either.
Time to get the neglected surf board out.

Good afternoon to all-

So, we have had a very calm summer so far here, but it appears that something nasty is blowing up down in the Bay of Campeche in the Gulf of Mexico. And while the weather folks don't know how much this storm will develop- it may just be a heavy rain maker or it might become something else entirely- the predictions are all vey consistent- that storm is coming right here where we live.

Today we are looking around to see what we need to stock up on at the cultural and social center of our small town- that would be Wal-Mart, don't you know. We're thinking pottie paper, bottled water, some more propane tanks for cooking, and or course, plenty of kitty food and kitty litter. Got to get the important things in order.

We'll see what happens- we aren't going anywhere.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed
