Wow. This sucks, but I'm sensing not unexpected. I'm glad you have a good team on your side, as we all are here.

Yesterday was lawn day but thunderstorm put the kibosh on that. So, now I have no excuses and must get going before it gets hot. Weed eating necessary today, so it will be a test of wills to get it done.
Slept fairly well and back to doing full morning exercises. No walking today as i will get 3 miles in walking behind my power drive mower.

I'm finally done with getting the dining room back in order; next I'm tackling all the closets in this house, one at a time. It feels good to get rid of some things that we don't need any longer. Today I'm cleaning blinds and vacuuming downstairs, plus I need to clean the windows on each side of the front door.
I got up this morning, pulled the pecans out of the dehydrator then did a brown sugar/spice coating on the stovetop.
Later I went to a church Homecoming. This is a church I used to attend whose congregation was established in 1780 (this building was erected in 1833.) Francis Asbury, one of the first 2 United Methodist bishops in the states, delivered a sermon to the early congregation. At one point they closed off the side entrance where the slaves entered to take the steps up to the balcony to attend services (slavery ended 30 years after the church was built.) The founder's descendants used to come from out of state to attend homecoming until a few years after I started going. I forget exactly how far back they traced their genealogy. I know it was at least the 1600s, maybe earlier. Lots of history there. I've done some repairs & maintenance, and it's nice to know my fingerprints are on some small part of it.
It was a nice event. The past 5-6 years they have had one of two bands: one band was affiliated with the June Carter-Cash family (who used to live in the county and who has a music center in the southwestern corner of Virginia), and the band that played today who is a gospel group from the next county over (and whose still-strumming-strong banjo player will be 90 years old in a couple of months.)

We went to Garden City 2plus hours away to try and find Sophie a harness and leash. Useless,as I expected. She is still too tiny.
Anyways, got home at 2:30 ate -yuck ham and cheese sammich -only because it was fast to make. No breakfast for him and I had cereal - so we were hungry.
We did find her a tiny little ball and she really loves this thing.
Rest of the day spent doing nothing useful I am sure.

Took my lady friend to her doctor's appointment. Yes, a Sunday appointment. And now I'm having a nightcap glass of Merlot. Well, actually not a glass, but a red Solo cup of Merlot. Desperate times, and all that...

I'm taking my friend (Linda) to a post-op cataract surgery exam on Wednesday. I took her in for the pre-op exam, someone else took her in for the operation, now I've pulled post-op duty. She already got me a couple of dozen fresh eggs, so this time I'll just get a Chinese buffet meal out of it.
