Let me see. I didn't get up until 11 am, but then I got to sleep about 4 am after taking a hike in the woods in the dark, so that's not as bad as it sounds. I watched podcasts for a half hour or so while drinking coffee, then fed Ella and one of the porch cats who was waiting for me. I went for a 30-minute walk, then spent some time picking maple seeds out of my gardens. Smoke, the outside cat I am hoping to adopt, hung out with me for about an hour or so, so I lay down on the grass for a while, and he lay down a couple of feet from me. He seemed pretty comfortable and happy, rolling over on his back. Then, he followed me to the porch, and I fed him. I worked on my web directory job for a few hours, then went for another walk in the woods. After returning, I brought some compostables out to my compost pile and buried them in the pile. I did some more work on my web directory job, fed a couple more cats, then went for another walk in the woods after dark, and now I am here reporting on all that before going back to work on my directory job. When I walk in the woods at night, I usually walk along a trail that I am familiar with, although it does involve crossing a stream on a log. I bring a flashlight but try not to use it.
