What Are You Doing Today?

My husband went fishing early this morning, so I washed my car at 6:30 AM before the heat and high winds pick up. After washing my car, and taking a shower, I went to the grocery store to buy some more fresh green beans and blueberries.

I do not know why Kroger has a dozen checkout lanes that are always closed. Only the self-checkout is open. It is the same way at Wal-Mart.

My lady friend was moved to a different facility yesterday afternoon, at her request. She is officially in rehab for the next 3 weeks, and then a determination will be made as to what level of care is appropriate. I visited her this morning and she is in good spirits.

Now I'm just waiting on the real estate folks to show up so I can put my house on the market, assuming the market value is enough to make it worthwhile.

What will you do when your house sells, Hoot? Are you staying in that area?

I'm resting today. Yesterday, I packed and froze hamburger and pork chops and made beet pickles.

Piggly Wiggly had hamburger on sale for $3.99 a pound in a 10 pound roll this week. I never thought I'd be happy to pay $3.99 for hamburger.🤨 They had boneless pork loins for $1.99. We bought one of each. That ought to keep us in meats for a while.

The beets came from the garden. I wonder why it takes me twice as long to do thing as it used to?

Shirley, I think it is all in the numbers. Age 30 = 60 minutes, age 60 = 60 minutes x 2

Another busy day ..unusual fro us to be so busy, Early this morning I sat outside again in the sun and breezy weather. Watched Mark transplant his herbs and bell peppers, and such in to huge pots. Trying to get something to grow, since the garden is out until next year. Repacked and placed in freezer the meat and chicken we bought the day before.
Then contacted my 7th atty in trying to get help to close out Marks dad' estate stuff..
Went and got both our hair cut. Came back and wasted more time trying to clean up paperwork on the estate.

My neighbor wanted to help me cut my acreage because I'm always over their with my tractor doing stuff (like tilling his garden for a second time this year.) This evening he brought his zero turn over and I fired mine up, and it took us 50 minutes to do what used to take 4+ hours on my tractor with the belly mower...and it looks so much nicer.

I also bought 3 flavors of yogurt to make those dehydrated discs I was talking about in the Snack thread (key lime, peach and mixed berry.) They've been in for about 4 hours. I may have laid them out too thick. Hopefully they'll be finished by bedtime.
