Today I am taking daughter back to Mke airport to go home.
Then I will get back to rain dancing. It is soooooooo dry here. The forecasted storms went around us.

Garden and greenhouses are finally all planted. Now for the maintenance and weeding. Watered the gardens yesterday as we haven't had rain in a few days. Big greenhouse and old greenhouse were also watered. The little greenhouse didn't appear to need it. Tomorrow will be massage and fertilizing. I will torch and hoe today if I get time.

Too hot to do anything so we ran the weekly idiot rally of groceries/returns, added a stop at the local saddle/silver smith and the Western we are store. I found the steal of the season - an Outback Fall/Winter coat for $37. SO made up for it though

I thought critters and chickens had been eating seeds I had planted. I had placed markers by the squash hills and several times found them disturbed so planted a few more.
Come to find they were disturbed but still there : 0 Lots of something coming up. Not sure which varieties.

Bought grocery in Dodge City, we got there really early..um too early I guess as to many things needed filling up
For some reason exhausted- more than usual . Napped a bit . Then had company for a while.Hiccups again
I see bedtime a bit early tonite.

My husband went fishing early this morning, so I washed my car at 6:30 AM before the heat and high winds pick up. After washing my car, and taking a shower, I went to the grocery store to buy some more fresh green beans and blueberries.

I do not know why Kroger has a dozen checkout lanes that are always closed. Only the self-checkout is open. It is the same way at Wal-Mart.

My lady friend was moved to a different facility yesterday afternoon, at her request. She is officially in rehab for the next 3 weeks, and then a determination will be made as to what level of care is appropriate. I visited her this morning and she is in good spirits.

Now I'm just waiting on the real estate folks to show up so I can put my house on the market, assuming the market value is enough to make it worthwhile.

Laundry and I have some ironing to do. Garden is cleaned up. 15 bags of mulch are still there. The high winds got one of my three peaches So much for Peach Melba for happy hour.

I'm resting today. Yesterday, I packed and froze hamburger and pork chops and made beet pickles.

Piggly Wiggly had hamburger on sale for $3.99 a pound in a 10 pound roll this week. I never thought I'd be happy to pay $3.99 for hamburger. They had boneless pork loins for $1.99. We bought one of each. That ought to keep us in meats for a while.

The beets came from the garden. I wonder why it takes me twice as long to do thing as it used to?
