It is my 26th wedding anniversary today. Although we buy one another gifts on our anniversary, it's not the big event that it is for some people. For one thing, I'm not big on events; for another, my wife forgot the day of our very first wedding anniversary - I had to get the certificate out to prove that it was the 14th, while she had thought we were married on my birthday, two days later. Even now, we quarreled about this one, as my wife insists that this is our 25th wedding anniversary, when it is actually our 26th, given that we were married in August of 2000. When you get past ten, you've run out of fingers, I guess. Don't misunderstand; our marriage is important - it's the dates we argue about.
