That's what I got also. The guy isn't leaving tracks in the snow.
disclaimer: I didn't look at y'all's spoilers either. I lived in snow country way to long to miss that one. Only 7% get it. That is because only 7% even look at it.
Why waste her time and impair her medical decisions with white lies?I was reading a post earlier in the thread about killing or wasting time. Well that's how my day went today. Because my car is not working and needs a repair I had to schedule a phone visit with a nurse practitioner at MSK. Originally they scheduled me for an 11:00 phone call, so I sat with my cell phone in my hand for around for 45 minutes never got a call. They text me a schedule change to 1:30 which I didn't get to see until after my original appointment. This time we did connect after I sat there about an hour.
We talked for about half hour she had a lot of pertinent questions. I have to admit that my answere to some of her questions were little white lies I didn't answer them accurately. I didn't want some minor issues I have to be blown up where I have to be subjected to different tests. I genuinely feel that these issues are from the hormone pill that I'm taking. I have six or seven months left to take the hormone pill and I will see how things pan out after that, if I'm still here.
later in the afternoon I had an grocery order delivered from Walmart. the wife and I spent about an hour putting the groceries away. Now I'm just resting preparing to help my wife with dinner.
She only has to concern herself with medical issues pertaining to the cancer I had, she works for MSK Oncology Department. I have a lot of medical issues that in my judgment have nothing to do with the cancer. Some I've had way before I got the diagnosis of cancer. The only information that they are interested in is how my blood test turned out and right now it's very good no indication my cancer returned. Why waste her time with every non-cancer issues or ache and pain I get.Why waste her time and impair her medical decisions with white lies?
That's why medical insurance is so high.Well, Tony, I support your "white lies" to your doc if she is an overachiever. The thing is with all the liability, some doctors over do testing just to cover their butts.

This all brings to mind that when I first got married we had a doctor that was recommended to us I don't ever remember once going for an MRI or CAT scan or even an x-ray he was just a good diagnostic person.I agree. I don't mention small things to my doctor because I don't want a handful of new prescriptions, lab work, and referrals to specialists. If something bothers me enough or gets scary I will see to it then.
My old PCP would say the patient is the best doctor and if they give their doctor pertinent info like recent symptoms only, it helps them to diagnose. She advocated that if you had chronic headaches all your life, then don't mention that, just current symptoms of concern.
One of my old specialist used to say as we get older and have to see multiple specialist, then treatment for one issue may contradict another. He said too many meds was like having a soup with too many ingredients, the soup would be ruined. We have to pick our battles. A good example is old folks that take a handful of meds. Start eliminating the meds that address lesser issues.
Long ago in a galaxy far away I had a VW rabbit whose battery kept dying. I took it up to the dealership and they could find nothing. I missed work a lot and my boss finally sent me to and old guy who worked on farm machinery. In a day he found there was a loose nut that kept shorting the electrical out. Interesting because one time I got mad at the car, swore at it, jumped on the hood, punched it and when I got in, it started right up.As I mentioned on another post yesterday my car broke down on the way home from running some errands. Car warning signs for battery, overheating, throttle control, and possibly a few others popped up while driving home.
After letting the car cool down for a couple of hours, I started it and the only warning light that came on was the battery symbol. I did a voltage check on the battery with the car off and the car running. with the car off the foliage seem to be within range but as soon as I started the car the voltage dropped where it should be increasing to indicate the battery is charging.
The only item that can explain the car running hot and the battery not charging is a belt. I'm hoping the alternator is good and the only thing they have to do when I bring it in to get it fixed is replace a belt.
I canceled my appointment for this coming Tuesday with the MSK oncology Department, due to the car troubles. They called this morning and set up a phone meeting for the same time on Tuesday. They said they would go over my latest reports.
It's a beautiful day here today, I should be outside doing some gardening and cleaning up the raise vegetable beds, instead I'm looking to go and take a nap I'm very tired today.
I'm concerned and sad that we still have not heard from Don Alaska. I hope we hear something soon.
Below is another puzzle I found on line without a solution, I believe I have the answer.

Ya know too late that it isn't always us. It can be about them. My starter fluid story was that in the 80's and 90's I could just go into Walgreens and get it when in town. Sometime in the early 2000's I went into Walgreens and asked for a can or where it was. The kid behind the counter looked at me like I had two heads. I said it is for spraying in the carburetor. He said Lady, they stopped putting carburetors in cars in 1996.I want to tell you my car story. One of my first jobs, I was 18 or 19 anyway, there was a girl that worked there that I thought was drop dead gorgeous. I always wished she would notice me, when we crossed paths she never even said hi. I was extremely shy and couldn't find a way to "break the ice". I always felt not equal to somebody that beautiful and didn't want to take a chance of being rejected.
One very extremely cold February day I was leaving work and when I got into the parking lot I noticed all the young men around her car she had a hood up so I assumed there was a problem. None of the advice she was given would start the car. I went to my car where I kept a spray can of starting fluid, which is a high octane spray fluid that starts hard to start cars. I walked over to her car told her to get in the car and start it when I tell her, I sprayed the starting fluid around the carburetor and told her to try starting it. The car turned over and started right away. Once it started it kept running. I closed the hood went over to the window and said I think you're good she thanked me, I went back to my car the young guys around the car were all looking at each other. I don't think any of them knew what starting fluid was, so I became the hero for 5 minutes. as I was putting my starting fluid away in the trunk, I could see the young guys going back to their cars and she took off for the home.
The next day at work, she was about 15 ft away and I expected that she would acknowledge me and I would ask her how she made it home. To make a long story short she didn't even say hi, my heart's sank I remember, it just confirmed in my mind that there had to be something wrong with me. I guess I was a sensitive young man.

Was my face red?
I kind of miss the Walgreens of old where you got film developed, even black and white. They held out the longest.
You Sound like a mechanic to me.Times have changed!!!
I was never a auto mechanic, but I did work on most of my cars. I did my own tune-ups, changed alternators or generators, starting motors, fuel pumps, water pumps, belts, hoses, radiators, brakes, batteries, oil changes. About the only thing I didn't do was transmission, rear ends, exhaust systems, and internal engine problems except I have changed timing chains and head gaskets. I can't tell you how many times I jacked the car up put some cement blocks under it and work on repairs from the top and bottom.
Today's cars I know nothing about.
