My ex husband and I owned a 1980 or '81 Scout; it was yellow and we bought it brand new. I think that was the last year the Scout was made. He really loved that thing so he got it in the divorce.

When it comes to couples parting ways, a yellow Scout is certainly a better thing to give up, than a white Ford Bronco.

Ok, I was just watching a chicanic video on problems with new lawn tractors. It was horrible. They made a tiny battery for the new tractors that set in a tiny box and was waranteed for 6 months. After fixing a few other things on the tractor in her shop, like debris in the gas tank, (tractor kept stopping like it wasn't getting gas : ). She pulled the battery and then the box to find she could fit it with brackets that could hold a normal sized battery!!!!
Are they doing this to sell more tiny batteries? Bad enough all the computerized stuff on John Deere and the liike. I think this example was a Cub.
Anyway, I am having issues with a few of my machines. Renters have destroyed them over the years so I called some friends to look at them to see if they were reasonable fixes. Too busy a time for mechanics just now so daughter and I may have to deal with them. Might have to get some of our own new tools and equipment. Like a compressor and pressure washer for dirt?

I gotta tell you @Jake Smith those mirrors are wonderful now that I am doing more with stuff hooked to the back of the tractor. I can make sure I sneak though the tight spots. The John Deere version of the mirrors were $75 apiece , but there were ~$25 for the pair. Thanks.

You welcome Don, I love mine too; same neighbor who snuck up on me; "Jim", then parked right close beside me, that scared me and he laughed which angered me some; "now", while I was grading road out front, twice since, "I" saw him before he was even close.
