The Tractor Thread

That is true Faye, they're lightweight with strong magnets, and stick really well on metal surfaces. They can be used on lawn mowers, vehicles, tractors, etc etc etc. :)
Just as long as the metal is steel or iron. They don't work well on aluminum or copper. :sneaky: I apologize for being a smarty pants, but I didn't want someone buying them and then finding out they didn't stick to their metal, aluminum, and saying "Well Jake said metal."

You're right they won't stick to aluminum, or pot metal, unless you fashion metal to them then it will. I didn't think about it, so thanks for that, I didn't see it as you being smarty-pants. :)

I knew what you meant and mean when you say metal. You mean steel or iron, but I had nothing else today to add to the tractor thread, so I tossed it out there. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah; I bet you could place a small piece of steel, inside the aluminum; and magnet will penetrate through and stick. What do you think?

If those magnets are as powerful as mobile radio antenna magnets, then yes. I had a magnetic mount antenna on my aluminum sided and roofed camp trailer and I put a large chunk of steel on the inside under it and it stuck really well. I had to remove the inside paneling and insulation, where the antenna mount would be, so it was just thin aluminum in-between.

This has no relevance by now. I am still trying to master Imgur. This was last year, my neighbor’s 3140 and bat wings. If I ever hit the more money than brains lottery, I’m buying a big JD like this and a set of bat wings🤠🤸‍♂️

The one attachment I wish I had bought is a bush hog. I don't need it often, but it's the only tool for certain jobs. My 32hp Kubota is not big enough for a batwing (which is ideal for our right of way), but there are times I could really use a smaller one. I've been told to avoid used ones.

We bought a six foot bushhog new in 2004 because we were told the same thing. Those poor things get beat to death. I don’t care how good of care they get, eventually something breaks, or the body needs welded.

Unless you could find a used one that was barely used, buying new is good advice from your friends🤠

BTW, if you look close, up on right side fenceline in my foto, there is a deer getting ready to jump the fence. Deer cross thru my pastures all the time. There are usually five that travel together.🤠
