That's What She Said

Just a little update; I still have the doldrums and I'm out of sorts lately. Everything seems to either make me mad or make me sad. I'm about as much fun as a toothache.

Tomorrow is my annual checkup at MD Anderson so I'm feeling a little anxious. I'll have a mammogram, ultrasound, and a visit with my oncologist. It's been 5 years but it still scares me, so I'll be glad when tomorrow is over.

Hugs, girl! 🤗

I hope all goes well with all of your check-ups tomorrows too!

I saw a dermatologist today. The spot I wanted him to look at turned out to be nothing, but he found several "pre-cancerous" spots on my decollatage and face. He treated all the spots with that liquid nitrogen stuff, then told me the spots would likely blister and peel off. Well, OK.

Unfortunately I had planned to go vote in the primary runoffs after the doctor, so I drove over to the polling place. I walked in and noticed that everyone I interacted with was trying not to stare at my face. 👺 When I got home I checked myself in the mirror and was horrified to see that I look like a late-stage leprosy victim. Those poll workers are probably washing their hands right now and wondering if I'm the latest pandemic.

I have had some tiny skin spots on my face "frozen" off too. It burns for a little while. 😬 A person does look like one has leprosy or some kind of disease.😂

Yep, I used to have 4 to 6 large spots off my face every year. The last 2 years, she has found nothing. That didn't surprise me since I think over the years my face has had every millimeter frozen. One year she had my entire nose red and it was right after Thanksgiving. Checking out and making next years appointment, a little girl laughs and told her mom, I looked like Rudolph. It took me a minute to get what she was saying. I commented that was better than the previous year when my face looked like a baboons butt. :sneaky:

I'm always getting "wild hairs" about pointless things. I guess it's mild OCD or some other made-up mental affliction, or maybe I'm just a goofball. Anyway... my car's trim level is called the "Black Edition" and all the badging, trim, wheels, etc. are black. None of that "grandpa chrome" for me; I'm a gangsta.

Except... that ONE chrome "H" in the middle of the tailgate. Really, Honda? So I ordered an overpriced replacement emblem in black and it arrived yesterday. Today I gathered all my tools and cleaning supplies and set out for the garage. I barely made it to the door before Mr. Nosey joined me to see what I was doing.

Of course as soon as I got the dental floss under the chrome H he had his hands in the way and I just backed up and let him do it. He did let me use the Goo-Gone and alcohol wipes to clean the residue off the paint, then he applied the new badge.

Now all of the badges, logos, whatever are matching black so I will move on to my next pointless endeavor. Stay tuned for more exciting play-by-play. :D
