Shopping--What did you buy?

There are no grocery bargains anymore. You can compare adds on line. Generally on Wednesday the sites update. I found a local chain not having prices until you select a specific store. Does that help?
Yup. You know, the other issue is I lived in a town right outside of DC, and there were 4 grocery stores within a mile of each other right up the road from my house. So comparison shopping was routine. I've been in the sticks for 15 years and the only nearby place (8 miles) is Walmart. Then there's a Food Lion in town (10 miles.) Then there's Charlottesville (25 miles) and the west end of Richmond (35 miles.) I mostly make the trip to the far-flung places for salad fixins and fresh veggies, and sometimes meat. So that's the other reason my comparison shopping skills have gone all to heck.

I've been going to Kroger for my salads/veggies and have not been impressed, but they're better than the bagged stuff at Walmart. I'll see what Wegman's has to offer. I'm making a 50 mile round trip, so I guess a few bucks ain't gonna kill me.

I bought another Moss & Stone electric percolator coffee maker. I had one before that made good coffee and lasted for a few years before the base, where the stem fits into, began to deteriorate. It lasted long enough that I didn't feel cheated, but I replaced it with a smaller Farberware electric percolator, which I don't like, and have been using my Ninja instead. However, my Ninja is a drip coffee maker, and it doesn't fit on the shelf in my office, so I bought another Moss & Stone. It's the same as my other one, except it was red.
