Shopping--What did you buy?

Kohl's has gone down the crapper too. I can't find anything in there anymore either. The Kohl's in my area has cut the store in half. They walled off half of the store and the other have is Planet Fitness.
Kohl's is slowly dying. It's not bankrupt yet, but it's restructuring to avoid bankruptcy. Last I heard they had closed nearly 30 underperforming stores.

Slow start. Gloomy and a drizzle on and off. Warm this week, hardly any snow left.

By noon it stopped, by 2 PM the Sun was out with maybe 25% fluffy clouds. Finally took in my Xmas lights off the shrubbery out front. Dusted inside of the car until the UPS truck arrived.

Got things together to make ham and cheesy rice pretty soon. Cycling my stable-stores pantry before my next grocery run.

A couple of years ago I bought a Shun Sora 6.5" utility knife and it quickly became my favorite "go to" knife in the kitchen. Seems like every time I reach for it, it's in the sink waiting to be washed, or in the dishwasher. Yesterday I noticed the knife was on sale at Amazon plus I had some rewards $$ to waste, so I bought another one.

My Red Rome Dwarf apple tree finally got here today from Stark Brothers ! I ordered it last fall when they had fruit trees on sale and it was supposed to arrive last fall. Then they said sometimes in February/March. This week I just got the notice that it was shipped and Fed Ex just delivered it. I have it in a bucket of water waiting to get planted tomorrow (unless it is pouring rain). The tree is almost 4 feet tall, so it is a nice size for a dwarf tree.

I bought a in the hoop embroidery design to make….. a make up bag it’s all done in the hoop of my embroidery machine that’s 27 years old

I’ve looked in shops for one , and they are all way to expensive…like $30 for a hard plastic cheap nasty design or they are fluffy fabrics I don’t want ……so I’ve bought some lightweight fabric that’s like nylon but it waterproof to make one with .,well I bought 1/2 mtr x 1.5 mtr wide for $7

Please let us know how it turned out. I am on sewing machine number five. These beasts scare me. SO know how to use them. When I parked the last one at the curb with a sign ‘free to good home’ he brought a bigger and better one into my life. Yesterday I took three tank tops in by hand. No injuries to me!

I’m planning on getting to it in a couple of weeks time @Marie Miller

A new coffee pot. I got a Cuisinart this time. My old Ninja coffee pot wasn't brewing the coffee. The coffee tasted like hot water, even though it looked like coffee. Blah!

Also, I got a different type of eye shield for my husband, when he goes in for cataract surgery on Thursday. The one you get in the kit has to be taped on your face.(n)
I have had a Cuisinart for years and love it. I still have a new one in the box for when the current one dies.

The last thing I ordered was a Vitamin A sports bra on a closeout. I got it for a dime on the dollar. Not returnable, but if it doesn't fit comfortably, it isn't much money to lose.

I was in Walmart today. They have a cooler full of paks of sliced fresh deli meats (mostly hams & different turkey breast variants) and deli cheeses to keep the line down at the counter. Usually they are 1/4# or so. There was one big ol' wad of turkey lunch meat that had been packaged today and was marked down half price ($5). It looked as though someone was at the end of the roast and decided to slice it all and shove it in a bag. It wasn't laid out pretty like all the others, so it got discounted. I got it home, made a sandwich, portioned out the rest in vacuum seal bags, and put them in the freezer. I'll get a bunch of meals out of it (sandwiches, heat in gravy for dinners, etc.) I think there were 20 slices and I only used 2 to make a sandwich. I'm not elated, but moderately pleased. I like cheap eats.

I ordered a small 1700 psi Craftsman pressure washer. I like to wash my car on the driveway and I hope this will make that job a little easier since I typically use the hose-and-bucket method.

My husband has a large gasoline powered pressure washer but I don't want to mess with that thing.
I have one of the little Craftsman washers and it is great. The biggest hassle is just getting the water set up, but that is true with all pressure washers.
