Random Political Discussion

I heard an MSM commentator (a woman) mentioning that "What if the Air Force officer rescued in Iran had been a woman?" I am afraid that the old claim of "innocent women and children" has now been eliminated by putting women into combat roles in the military. Unfortunately women are now legitimate targets in war since they are now potential combatants. The woman commentator bemoaning the idea that a woman could have been captured by the Iranians--and you can just imagine what they would do to an American female pilot--was probably someone loudly crying for the rights of women to serve in combat roles.

I am all for wearing a mask to protect yourself when compromised @Beth Gallagher. Your immune system has been depressed, so you are subject to different things, and I am pro surgeons and other OR personnel wearing masks as well. since you are protecting a patient from bacterial infection. Extremely infectious viruses are a different situation. From one article I read. there is not a single documented case of Covid transmission occurring outside either. The vaccines were "leaky" vaccines also, so those vaccinated often essentially became carriers of the virus and sometimes did not them selves get sick, the exact opposite of the situation depicted in the media. The vaccinated were spreading the virus, not the non-vaxxed.

It was also pointed out to me that those who separated families and friends based on their vaccination status will be the same people who will turn you in to the government for being a MAGA supporter as the collaborators turned in those who were hiding Jews to the Nazis and who turned in "rebels" to the Iranian government recently. It is all a sign of suceptibility to propaganda.

I was simply commenting on why some people might be wearing a mask. There are other reasons to wear a mask other than Covid.

We have the largest, most insidious, global propaganda machine ever unleashed. Our "education systems" have created unthinking consumers of it.
And it was planned to be so way back into the 1920s when John Dewey decried the old Education Basics. He thought students should be taught to influence societal change...and now we have it with students leaving classes to attend No Kings Rallies and being lauded for doing so.

There is a UK mandatory Digital ID proposal that explicitly will not include the person's gender. How wild is that? The given reason is "minimizing data costs" even though a digital image and all sorts of other stuff like "preferred name people should call you" is stored.

I caught a story on another site where a "migrant" here killed a girl. The local (D) council woman hypothesized that the girl might have startled him.

This is insane.

People seem confused about what MAGA is. I always felt it was pretty clear: voters whether Democrat, Republican, or independent Who want to reverse the Eurofication of the US.

I see that Republicans (Duopolitan Romneycrats - the kind who endorsed Biden for 2020) are advancing something they call the "Dignidad Act" to give amnesty to illegal aliens.

Why do they want enhanced immigration? I suspect they want more cheap labor, consumption, tax payers, voters, and cannon fodder.

Short video:
Salazar has to face a primary I think in Florida. She has already stated that her job is to represent the illegal migrants, similar to what Ilhan Omar announced some time ago. She, all the Dems, and 19 other Republicans want to pass an amnesty bill for all the people who entered the country illegally and haven't been caught committing other crimes. If the Dems take Congress this fall, the country is lost.

Looks like the other democratic candidates for governor of CA have started eating their own. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

"Rep. Eric Swalwell’s campaign for governor was reeling Friday after two news reports detailed accusations of sexual assault and misconduct, with multiple staffers resigning and both prominent allies and rival candidates calling on the California Democrat to exit the race."

Four women describe sexual misconduct by Rep. Eric Swalwell, including a former staffer who says he raped her.

Color me cynical, but this stuff only comes to light when those who pull the levers want the guy gone.

.I'm afraid Trump's "vanity war" and rising prices has put the nail in the mid-term coffin. People are not happy that he did not live up to his campaign promise.
This attitude bothers me.

It's as if many people back him for all the wrong reasons (though that' to be expected, of course). Probably the same people who think Epstein was about sex trafficking of young woman. It ain't. The same people seem to think feminism and women voting was about "rights." It ain't.

Rather than be even halfway informed on things, people will gobble up mainstream media narratives, all the while believing that they aren't doing exactly that. The same people will whinge about their impatience with video directly from informed sources that tries to lay reality out for them. Perhaps part of this is because such videos direct them to books and whitepapers that go into even more depth. Reading is "hard."

But I've about given up. An IQ of 75 was once the border line of "retarded." This was lowered in the 1970s to 65 at the insistance of the feminists and greater "civil rights" radicals. Soon after the tern "retarded" was considered a verboten word.

Only when they find themselves locked into a financial/population "control grid" in an Islamic neo-feudal slavery system will they ask "Wha happened?"

Idiocracy here we come!

Hard things are hard. Doubly so for a 'tard.

Well, I disagree with most of what you said, but I'm not in the mood to argue. I'll just say that in my experience, people are most influenced by things that directly impact them personally, such as rising gasoline prices which push up the cost of everything else.

Also, as GW Bush found out by proclaiming "Read my lips; no more taxes", people do believe campaign promises and they have unforgiving memory when it comes to that. So Trump saying "no more wars" is going to bite him and the Republicans in the mid-terms.

Well, not only has Swalwell ended his bid for CA governor, today he resigned from Congress.

"Congressman Eric Swalwell said Monday he would resign from Congress, after a day earlier dropping his bid for California governor.

“I am deeply sorry to my family, staff, and constituents for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past,” he said, but still insisted he will “fight the serious, false allegation made against me.” https://nypost.com/2026/04/13/us-ne...congress-after-sexual-misconduct-accusations/
