On Death & Dying

I think maybe God gives us a lot of pain and other problems when we get older, so that we can see something positive about dying. No, I'm not there yet but I'm close enough to see it with binoculars.

I remember when my mother was actively dying and in intensive care. I got to see her for a couple of minutes though I don't believe she knew me at that point. As the nurses fussed over her I heard her say, "Just let me go. Please. Let me go."
