I fight to keep writing checks. I want paper statements too. Power company wants my credit card number on file and I won't give it to them so they refuse to let me pay on line if I won't let them keep the number. I have nothing on auto pay!!!

My parents entertained a lot so I was chief table setter. Since a lot of people don't have family dinners anymore, I doubt if kids do that often.

I was four when I had my first farm job of gathering, cleaning, grading/candeling eggs for dad to sell —— and I better not break any.

Kids today probably don’t even know that eggs come from somewhere else before they get to a carton in the grocery store cooler…….

I like watching Shark Farmer when he takes to the streets and asks folks young and old what pictures of farm equipment are. It’s easy to tell who the farm kids are and who the city & suburbia kids are….

I'm with you 100%, Mary!

While I don't write check anymore, I still love how the payer can post-date such checks, and as for paper bills, yes! We have zero auto-pay anything coming out of our accounts, and if I were to share any advice on such to today's younger generation, I would advise them to live by the same.

Just the thought of someone else having ready access to our accounts makes me gag.
