Maria Bartiromo Out at Fox

"Fox News Media has parted ways with anchor Maria Bartiromo, a veteran news personality who is a central figure in two defamation cases against the company.

Fox News issued a terse statement Thursday saying she is no longer employed at its networks, effective immediately." (from LA Times article)
I have to say, I'm very surprised by this. Maria is one of the very few talking heads that I ever bothered to watch. I'd like to see her show up as the new White House Press Secretary.

I have to say, I'm very surprised by this. Maria is one of the very few talking heads that I ever bothered to watch. I'd like to see her show up as the new White House Press Secretary.

There's lots of speculation regarding FOX's participation in the 2020 election fraud. There was something about FOX calling Arizona for Biden (easily should have gone to Trump) before the votes were in that aroused suspicion. FOX settled a defamation suit brought by Dominion Voting Systems due to FOX's claims about Dominion's fraud. FOX settled for nearly $800 million, but some think the whole thing (especially the large payout) was a charade to dissuade others from investigating Dominion.

Apparently, Bartiromo felt that her duty to Country was greater than her duty to Employer, and was leaking internal FOX memos regarding the 2020 election issues to the White House. There's a You Tube video on this debacle, but you have to sign in to view it "to prove you're not a bot." I have never seen that requirement before, nor have I watched the video because I don't sign in to You Tube.

I bet the crap this stirs up will be the main event. Her firing was the warm-up act. Her contract is good through 2029. She'll get paid, she just won't be on the air. Somewhere in the range of $6M-$10M/year. I bet FOX could cancel that contract if she violated her NDA, but they may just want this to die a quiet death.

For some reason, the host has him on but doesn't want to let him talk, but it's still interesting. Mostly, i was interested in what the host was afraid of. I've seen better from CNN.
