We have been watching the usual Weather Channel hysteria around tropical storm "Edouard", which somehow managed to miss us entirely. Jim Cantore is probably bummed that it has been a quiet hurricane season so far. We got about 10 drops of rain which was a total disappointment. It's still cloudy, humid and overcast so not as hot.

26 F. yesterday morning and 28 F. this morning. Anything tender in the garden that wasn't covered is toast. Cabbage and corn appear to be fine though. Days are sunny and in the high 50s or low 60s. Leaves are turning and birds are set to migrate.

Hot, hot, hot. Ranchers have to cull herds as food and water is getting low. We need to strip and repaint the patio door. No way as the paint would dry on the brush.

We're finally getting rain; it is cool and overcast. I love a rainy day so I'm loving the "clean air" feeling when I'm out on the patio sipping coffee.

Same as yesterday ^^^^^ but with a 20% chance of rain; that means no rain.
@Marie Miller I am so sorry about the cattle ranchers. All these extreme weather issues play havoc on our farmers and ranchers. I hate to see the livestock suffering. Prayers to all of them.

Thank you. Especially as there are positive changes on the horizon with been able to slaughter without the processing houses. It is brutal when you see the empty water holes and folks in posh subdivisions having lush green yards a couple of miles away.Same as yesterday ^^^^^ but with a 20% chance of rain; that means no rain.

Overcast and thundering loudly, so I hope we'll get some more rain out of it. It's muggy out there.
We keep having the forecast rain fail to appear. Then when there's no rain forecast, we get pop-up thunderstorms. There was no rain forecast for today, and now there's a warning (not a watch) that 60MPH+ winds and hail is headed my way...all out of nowhere.
