How's the Weather Where You Are?

Was just thinking. There's no more Farmer's Almanac. Whatever shall we do?
Every year we fret. Especially before winter here. I don't think we ever thought: No need to worry, this winter will be nice as toast. It is usually: OH NO this winter is going to be terrible and snowy! It was never that terrible--just winter.
Well, we have the internet now to tell us that "this El Nino is going to be the worst in history! A Super El Nino!"
I have been in Wiisconsin for 56 years now. I can count on one hand the most memorable winters of my life. Maybe one and a half hands. I say the odds are on my side. But this year has definitely been of strange weather.
It is still August and the dew is VERY heavy this morning. Chilly mornings lately. Not sure what this means. We have had so few bugs this summer so I can't even find any wooly bear caterpillers to give me insight into the coming winter. Bug eating birds have had a tough time of it. Robins are much fewer now, after two late winters when they came up and the drought left few earthworms for them. I have had fewer chigger and tick bites even with an overgrown weedy garden.
Next week is supposed to be back up into the eighties.
 
It looks like we are back into the 90+ days again for at least another week. I thought we were probably done with the swimming pool for this year, but it is looking like we can still use it next week.
The cooler nights have been nice though, and I have been able to do at least a little outside work again, so that it a good thing. By tonight, i hope to have closed all the exercise rings on my Apple Watch.
