How's the Weather Where You Are?

It's July in two days. It's hot. It has always been hot here in July.
Once again it is "Warning Will Robinson!!!" A HEAT DOME will stay over the midwest.
Yeah? and what else is new. I was thinking back to the 60's when some people (mostly elderly) would die in the summer in NYC when summer days were hot. They did not have air conditioning--only fans. People would hang out their fire escapes or climb up to the roof at night.
I lived in a suburb. We didn't have AC but we had a woods nearby and shared a swimming pool with the family next door.

Just checking in because the news keeps talking about how intense this heatwave is getting, and it sounds like a rough one in a lot of cities right now.
News has been talking about the dangerous heat across the central and eastern U.S., and Europe’s been getting hit hard too, with record temperatures and serious strains.
For anyone dealing with it, how are you getting through the worst of it? It feels like the kind of stretch where even normal daily stuff gets tougher than usual..

It is going to be in the mid-90’s here again today. It is not even 7AM here and we are already turning on the Ac in the front room. The humidity is at 90% right now, so even though it is not into the high 90’s here yet today, the air is almost too heavy to be able to breathe.
We have a small pool out in the back yard and that is what we do to keep cool in the heat, along with the window AC in the front room. Soaking in the pool really helps to cool our body down a lot, and I do’nt know what we would do without that.
We might have some rain coming in by this weekend, but that is a wait and see kind of a forecast.

The weather here is comfortable for most of the year, which is why I live here.
