This is not good. There are brief showers forecast for tonight and then nothing until next Monday. We've had lots of forecasted rain that never materialized.

We are under a flash flood warning with Tropical Storm Arthur coming ashore later today. 50 MPH winds and more rain.

No, we don't have any issues with flooding. The storm is hugging the coastline and should be into Louisiana this evening. Forecasters are warning of 5-10 inches of rainfall with some spots getting as much as 20 inches of rain through Thursday.

We are still dry, but they say that there is a good chance that we will get some rain from T S Arthur. Not much but maybe an inch.
And when it rains, it's a dry rain.
Raining, windy, and in the 60s.

It is only 82° with a dewpoint of 71° and 74% humidity. I actually got through midmorning barn chores without my glasses fogging up or sliding down my nose from sweat that’s a first in quite a while.
The very thick cloud cover helps. Storms to the north of us tropical weather to the south of us and it will meet in the middle, which is where I live, so I’m watching waiting.

As good as it gets here--around 70 F. during the day and in the high 40s at night, but the daylight is nearly 24 hours now, so if you wake during the night, you have no idea how long you slept. June is usually the driest, warmest month here, so we are watering almost every day, and the fire danger is rising.
