The forecast here has changed since yesterday, and it looks like we are having three hot days in a row, with no rain. This is good, becasue roads here are still flooded in some of the areas in Alabama and Tennessee, so some dryer days will help out. At this point, they are saying it could be up to 90 but by this weekend , they are saying more rain is possible. We are waiting to see if the pool will warm up enough to use yet or not.

We are still in extreme drought from the mountains to the coast. We have had only one good rain at my house since early May. Temperatures are running in the 90s. Too hot to fish, too dry to plow.

Thankfully all flooding was NNW of me. I got a great garden shower and some thunder last night.

Today the “air you can wear” is back. It is currently 82°, humidity 75%, dewpoint 73°.

It goes without saying, both horses are in the barn, taking advantage of their barrel fans. They can go outside if they want to, but they have been grazing at night and putting themselves up to avoid the daytime heat/humidity.

Well, with the recent rain, I 'ran' between the raindrops to do a bit more planting. They had a sale on some stuff at Fleet Farm garden dept. But when I dug some pilot holes, the moisture only went down about three inches! Had to bring in some water.

I was just telling someone that people with farms are always wet. Either from rain, snow or sweat.

We are 76 with 88% humidity, and headed for 90 later today, but with a slight possibility of a thunderstorm later, so about the same as you are having.

It was pretty miserable out there yesterday. But we were rewarded with a toad strangler early evening. Every drop of water is needed here.
